About
Nuclear Option is a combat flight game set on a dynamic and realistic battlefield of the near future. Use an array of advanced weapons to change the course of battles as you intercept bombers, duel fighters, fly under the radar, or unleash the fury of nuclear weapons on enemy formations.
Each aircraft comes with an immersive cockpit featuring a situational awareness HUD, identifying nearby targets and threats. Aircraft can be flown with various controllers or with a mouse-controlled "virtual joystick", requiring no special hardware.
Experience realistic flight dynamics, with stalls, spins and g-force effects fully implemented, as each aircraft is composed of up to 50 individually simulated physics parts . A highly detailed damage model means that the condition of each part affects the way your aircraft flies.
Build your own missions using the included mission editor, and then fly your mission solo or with friends in PVP or PVE multiplayer combat.

honestly. I LOVE IT,
10/10. Very well done Sandbox/Multiplayer (and single player) Air combat game, Controls are simple to learn but have a high capacity for mastering them. Aircraft fly very well, and all have very well done designs, available weapons/payloads. and sound design. Mission creator can allow you to customize the ultimate mission or even campaign. Multiplayer community seems fairly kind. I heavily enjoy this game, it includes simulated ground units and naval units that behave pretty good, Logistics systems, Radar and E-Warfare, CAS, Dogfighting, whatever you are looking for from a game about planes (and Nukes) you can get. Want to set up a mission or series of missions that give off a "Sum of All Fears feeling" with high nuclear stakes?, go for it! want to set up a chill/calm lengthy air patrol while you hunt for Bunkers and Techies? entirely possible!. please check this game out. also it has nukes.
Amazing game with great dynamic wars happening on the ground and sea while you fock around in the skies. It has a little bit of an RTS feeling because you really have to plan what you are gonna do next. its not just "take off and do airpatrol", its more like: "maybe i should save some downed pilots with a helicopter to level up" "maybe i should overwhelm enemy airdefenses to pave the way for our nukes" "i should land some repair units on our airbase to fix the hangars and helipads that have been wiped" "our team needs an AWACS Plane to Jam enemy fighters or airdefenses" "we have incoming ICBMs, we need to intercept" At least if you want to do that, being an ACE fighter and protecting your teams ships, convois or helis by dominating the air is obviously just as viable as all the other option. And all these things get infinitly more rewarding when you communicate with your team and support each other and without any annoying bugs ruining the immersion or gameplay plus missioneditor and workshop. I cant wait for bigger maps and more vehicles to be added to this but it already doesnt feel like an early access game and is definitly worth the asking price
The learning curve in this game is really harsh. I expected something like War Thunder, just without all the microtransactions and pay-to-win garbage. But I can't figure out the Xbox controller setups and there is no tutorial. I'm not a hardcore gamer, I have a real life outside of this. Gaming is how I relax, and trying to self-teach how to fly here is just stressful. I'm dropping the game for now until a proper tutorial comes out. I still recommend this game because there are no real alternatives to the pay to win garbage that is War Thunder. I hope the developers listen to feedback like this so they can grow their player base, fund a console port, and add more content. It would be a shame for a game like this to stay stuck in a tiny niche.
Fun game so far. Planes, weapons, and combat all feels good and is very enjoyable. My only complaint is that the friendly AI seems dumber than the enemy's AI. It feels like the friendly AI can barely engage in combat with other craft, let alone attack the enemy base. Maybe I've just been unlucky so far lol.
