This game is soooooo good! Pixelated fire fighting - something I never thought I would want in my life, yet I just want to keep playing. Graphics are gorgeous, gameplay is tight. There is a real challenge here too, but the developers put in the ultimately thoughtful accessibility settings with a difficulty slider. You can literally set the percentage of difficulty as you also set whether or not you want water to be more accessible. Every developer should think of how to make their game playable to all, it is important to be thoughtful, yet for the very best gamer the challenge is still real and the slider makes this game very replayable as well. For me, this is what gaming is all about, it is just really fun and this is the kind of indie title and developer I want to support. Don't sleep on this, go get it!
I wasn't really aware of the story or anything before checking 'Nuclear Blaze' out, I just really liked the cover art I saw for the physical release and thought the idea of a 2D platformer where you take on the role of a firefighter was an interesting enough idea. You are a firefighter who is released in the middle of a forest taking out fires that are ablaze all throughout this mysterious building. Traversing through taking out these fires only makes the mystery stranger not just because of WHO is involved, but also WHAT is involved. The story was very interesting especially since I went in blind, it really is a mystery all throughout. You don't know what's going on in this military base facility with you finding redacted notes just not understanding what could be going down here. I'm not gonna spoil too much, not that you really could, but if you are into SCP sort of things I think you will like what's going on here. The gameplay is solid, a little clunky at times especially right in the beginning since you can tell something is missing in terms of abilities not in your arsenal, but starts to feel way smoother when you do find the missing links. You'll go room to room extinguishing fires all throughout this facility with your trusty hose, platforming up, down, left, right, every direction turning electricity off, turning on sprinkler systems, etc, it keeps you mostly busy. I don't have, really any complaints other than while I do think the gameplay feels way better towards the middle-end of the game it can still feel a little clunky, but only because shooting the fires with your hose isn't analog with direction. I recommend the game especially if you can get it on sale for $1 like I did. 'Nuclear Blaze' presents a mystery that while within itself isn't really unique, not that it needs to be, still presents you with unique gameplay. You'll get about 2 hours worth of gameplay if you don't replay for achievements or anything, which here feels perfect as it doesn't overstay it's welcome and pretty much ends right as you figure most of everything out.
我看这小猫也是SCP收容物啊
A short, action-packed platformer featuring SCBAs and SCPs, where personal safety comes second to saving cats.
Great game. A bit short though.
Ta chido
Fun game. Short and enjoyable.
