About

NovaMundi is an open-world exploration game with tactical combat, in which you lead a group of warriors to traverse the ever-changing dangerous lands of the Andes in the XVI Century. Build your reputation to recruit people in towns, explore mysterious caverns filled with dangerous spirits to gain the blessings of the lands, barter for supplies to survive, and use diplomacy to unite your people against the invaders.
The people of the Muisca territory stand divided and are also constantly threatened by the nearby Panche, Muzo, and more. In this scenario, a run-down group of Spanish explorers has reached their land and seeks to profit from these divisions and conflicts to make alliances and ultimately gain control of it. It's up to your group to unite the Muisca and prepare for the upcoming invasion.

Deep in the dark caverns of these mountains, the fabric of reality is torn apart: the spirits of the land are angry, and they will test whoever invades these sacred places. Only the strongest will be worthy of the powerful blessings of nature to battle the invaders.

In NovaMundi a new map is created every time you play. Mountains and rivers will make it difficult to travel the lands of the Muisca, no matter how many times you’ve explored them. When your party dies, it’s time to explore again.
On the way, you’ll meet the indigenous and participate in their struggles, explore caves; holy sites for the Muisca now unpredictable due to the upheaval caused by the Spanish invaders in the land. All this while you fight hunger, disease, beasts, and humans.

Runs packed with content: Focus on the main quest to unite the Muisca confederation against the European invaders, help the natives in their jobs, explore procedurally generated caves fighting beasts and mythical creatures from the Muisca culture, search for exotic animals from the Andean mountains in the paramos, jungles, and swamps of the region and much more. You’ll need several runs to experience it all!
A unique setting: NovaMundi takes place during the Spanish conquest of South America in the XVI century. Meet one of the cultures that originated the legend of “El Dorado”: the Muisca.
Chiefdom Origins — choose your hometown and gain unique advantages shaped by the chieftain, culture, and traditions that raised you.
Tailor your experience to your wants and needs: Maybe you don’t want to play with diseases, or you’d like the challenge of only being able to use one kind of troop, or starting without any gold. Maybe you’re a fan of Andean wildlife and would like to recruit the help of jaguars and spectacled bears. You can do it with perks.
Real-time battles with big warbands and big consequences: NovaMundi has a satisfying combat system in which you can battle many different units against big enemy groups. Battle several dozen Muisca warriors of several classes, archers, and beasts against Panche raiders and Spanish invaders. Face archers against melee fighters and protect your frontline using guardians. Each individual is unique; if wounded they will need several days to heal, and if they die… There is no escape from the cold embrace of death.

Setting and Artwork are impeccable, gameplay is addicting, controls are very janky but not gamebreaking. I hope the devs keep updating the game
I like it a lot. I love the care of small details and the historic mythology like a documentary. Good job!
NovaMundi honestly surprised me a lot. It’s not the typical strategy game you always see, it has a super original setting and you can tell there’s real care in every detail. The mix of exploration, resource management and tactical combat with pause is very well done, you’re always making important decisions and that makes each run feel different. The procedural map also gives it a lot of replay value and you never know exactly what you’re going to find. What I liked the most was the identity it has. It doesn’t try to copy other games and thats something I really apreciate. The atmosphere and historical context are very well crafted and give it a lot of personality. It’s one of those games that maybe isn’t huge, but its clearly made with intention and passion. I started it with almost no expectations and it ended up hooking me way more than I expected, so I definitly recomend giving it a try.
great mechanics! I really loved the thematic and languages used, I'm greatly surprised and will recommend this game to more people!
Ufff This game hooked me not just with its gameplay, but with its world. The setting is something I had never experienced before in a strategy game, and it made every discovery feel meaningful. Through exploration and events, I found myself learning about Muisca traditions, politics, and spiritual beliefs in a way that felt natural and respectful. It’s both entertaining and eye-opening.
I like the game. It is a refreshing experience with a not so common setting. If you enjoy exploration and party management games I can recommend it.
Increíble...es fantástico
