The game is reasonably fun. But buy it on sale; it's very short and fails the "$1 per hour of play" benchmark at full price.
It was fun and interesting untill i got to the bandit cave where the fight is impossible to win and no way to upgrade. Do not buy this.
Very short game. Not really stand out, but it works. Buy it on sale if you're into these kinds of games. I do wish there was a back button on the dialogue. I clicked forward too quickly on an explanation of the battle system and automatically clicked skip, since it is to the left of the forward button. I suppose it speaks to the ease of the battle system that I did figure it all out, though I spent 2 battles not realizing you could attack with your unit cards and not just the attack cards in your hand. Works perfectly well on Steam Deck. It's a point and click game, so you just need to have one of your joysticks/trackpads set as the mouse and a button as left click.
With how big the map was, I expected a game longer than 3 hours. Still, had quite a bit of fun with it, even if it was a simple card battler. Be aware of price to dollar ratio here, there's not much to do after beating the game - thankfully I got the game for $0.60 on sale.
O jogo é simples, já tem quase 10 anos, é razoavelmente fácil, mas gostei.
Northmark: Hour of the Wolf is a charming little card-RPG that I genuinely enjoyed while it lasted — the card battle system is simple but satisfying, and the self-aware humor kept me smiling throughout. The art style is pleasant and the story moves along at a decent clip, though don't expect any surprises from the plot since the villain might as well be wearing a neon sign. My biggest gripe is the lack of any real challenge: I barely lost a single fight once I figured out the strategy of stacking buffs on one strong unit, and I had completed everything — every arena, every hidden stash, every quest — in about five hours. Replayability is essentially zero since encounters are all scripted and there's no difficulty setting to shake things up. That said, for a few dollars on sale, it scratches a casual card-game itch well enough, and achievement hunters can clean up in a single playthrough.
Noting wrong with it other than ... eh enemeys are too op.
fun game. being short not a bad thing but it could be even better by adding few mechanics like equipment, dialogue variety only on sale
Pičovina. Nejde to hrať. Nikam sa nepohnem. Stojím na jednej obrazovke a nič sa nedá robiť. Totálna PIČOVINA!!!!!
Northmark is a neat, easy card battler, with hidden items to find on the town maps. I enjoyed my time with it. Slightly lacking in polish, probably low replay value. The achievements are nicely balanced and fun to track down. I definitely recommend checking this out on a technical level. There's some neat game design choices being made here.
