very good
Too Simple and short.
It's the worst Artifex Mundi HoG I've played. The story is what it is, damsel in distress, and only the manly man can fix everything. It's real messy and all over the place. One place you need to loosen a grate for the aircon, but the one RIGHT BESIDE it you can't loosen but need to do something different. One time you need to fix a fuse box for an elevator, the main character tells you that it broke again, and you fix it by doing something completely different. Several Hidden Object areas, you find what you actually need to solve the puzzle, but need to find the object some other place. And the ending is just straight up stupid and lazy. The technical side is fine and works, but the puzzle is just weird or stupid. The voice acting is quite good IF you like that over the top acting. It was an ok 3-4'ish hours gaming session, that I have NO desire to ever return to. There are MUCH better HoG out there, some of the best is from Artifex Mundi, so it's not good to see that the QC was so bad on this.
I have played this game many times before, and perhaps this is my third playthrough. As a game released in 2018, it was to be expected that this has items you can combine to make another item useful for the scene. There are various hidden object scenes as well (e.g. one item to search for only, silhouette only, or the classic hidden object of different items). The map allows fast travel. For puzzles, AM has never strayed too much with them, all the same, with not much to say. Besides the collectibles, the achievements are not riddled with difficult tasks (e.g. clear in Expert) and doing a 100% achievements run is doable on one playthrough, one that took me three hours and bit more. With all of those to note, I believe this game will land a striking 7/10 for experience.
This Hidden Object Puzzle detective game and its bonus content follow the typical HOP formula. The lead character is likable, but some encountered characters feel out of place. The story combines detective work and whodunit elements. The HOPs are standard but well-designed, and there are a couple of new mini-games. While it felt short for the price, it still gives the impression of an extended experience. The bonus content is a good prequel extension, expanding on the main character's history. GAME CONTENT: 1) Use of explicit or offensive language? No. 2) Depictions of sexual content or innuendo? No. 3) Portrayals of drug or alcohol use? No. 4) Depictions of violence, blood, or gore? Yes. PG-13 level. People get shot and there is blood. 5) Representation of LGBTQ+ characters or themes? No. 6) Depictions of racist or bigoted behavior? No. 7) References to real-world political or religious events or beliefs? No. 8) Instances of animal abuse or cruelty? No. 9) Depictions of domestic abuse or violence? No domestic abuse, but there is violence at a PG-13 level. 10) Use of supernatural or occult themes or imagery? No. 11) Use of magic themes or magical imagery? No. 12) Are jump scares or other frightening elements included? No. 13) Depictions of suicide or self-harm? No. 14) Mention of diseases or medical conditions? No. 15) Using dolls or other toys in a potentially unsettling or creepy manner? No.

The Noir is in the beginning and the end. Disappointed.
its fun
The game is ok. I would say even fun at times. The challenge level is also quite decent, but I just cannot give it a positive review because they abuse that horrible knotted rope mini game where you need to untangle the thing and it appears 4 or more times (didn't play all the chapters yet) and it's just a horrible mini game that shouldn't even exist. I can tolerate it once per game, but 4 times is ridiculous.
