About
Nocturnal is an action game where you play as Ardeshir, a soldier of the Enduring Flame, returning to his homeland, Nahran, after many years of absence.
Following the appearance of a mysterious Mist, the island has recently fallen into chaos, and Ardeshir must wield his flaming sword and use powerful abilities to confront its mysteries and free Nahran.
Repel a dynamically generated Mist that reacts to the flames of your sword.
Carry your flames across Nahran: your blade can also ignite the environment, activate mechanisms, and even destroy creatures born from the Mist.
Defeat enemies and explore the environment to collect ash, which can be offered to Phoenix statues. You'll gain new skills and bonuses vital for your survival.

Short (a bit too short) and fun metroidvania, highly recommended if you are intersted in genre and want to dip your toes in since it is really easy and forgiving, unlike others of the same genre. Definitely not worth the full price (at least from my perspective) but you can often times get it for cheap during sales (I got it for free). Hope the sequal is more robust and long.
Хорошая игра! Визуально приятная, со своей атмосферой, историей происходящего. Элемент платформера не вызывает никаких сложностей, есть наличие простых загадок для открытия дверей, присутствует система прокачки и способностей. А самое интересное и являющимся главной фишкой здесь - это механика тьмы и взаимодействия с огнем! На данной механике завязан геймплей, и она делает его интересным! Тут прийдется искать огонь, поджигать меч, и за время его горения проходить убивающую тьму, сражаться с врагами (часть которых уязвима только к огню), поджигать факелы и жаровни. Боевка тут примитивная (уклоняйся/бей), дизайн локаций простой, боссы не сложные. Игра очень запомнилась, за счёт вышеописанной механики с огнем, и своим визуалом, сюжетом и вайбом. В данной игры как по мне есть только один огромный минус - она преступно короткая! Сделанная превосходно, но крайне быстро проходиться. Если надумаете брать, то только с максимальной скидкой! Полная сумма которую она стоит - это уж слишком, как для такого объема контента! Игра замечательная, разрабы молодцы! Мне зашла! Рекомендую, но только по огромной скидке!

Игра довольно атмосферная и приятная по визуалу. Больше всего понравилась механика огня — она хорошо вписывается в исследование локаций и сражения, особенно когда приходится постоянно следить за тем, чтобы меч не погас. Музыка отлично дополняет мрачную атмосферу, а рисованный стиль выглядит очень красиво. Единственное, что немного расстроило — игра довольно короткая, хотелось бы больше локаций и контента. В целом хорошая небольшая инди-игра, которую вполне можно пройти за вечер и получить удовольствие.
