At the Startup Menu, my GPU usage immediately spikes to 100%, and temperatures climb to 80°C almost instantly. Interestingly, once I actually load into a New Game or a save file, the GPU usage and temperatures drop to normal, stable levels. My Specs: CPU: Intel Core i5-12400 GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super RAM: 32GB OS: Windows 10/11

Great game, but could use some expanding or fixing in a few areas. There are a lot of things I like about it, and even prefer over games like Rimworld or Dwarf Fortress, but I'll focus on the issues that made me stop playing this game after 3 days: TL;DR: Great game for the most part, but a bunch of issues bottle up so it's fun for a weekend, but then you drop it. The world map is a bit confusing. You can't really do anything from there beyond talk to the rulers of other areas, or visit. Your borders change constantly as a side-effect of random events, rather than something you can specifically control and manage, so your borders are basically just meaningless and you can essentially ignore the world map entirely. The building is great, but some of the roof setups end up wonky, so making tiered roofs, houses with different levels of roofs, or pointed roofs become hard to look good. For example, a 3-story house with a 2-story section will have an ugly roof on the lower section, because the game lacks a corner for the "roof sloped against a wall" piece. The conversion dialogue and options are extremely repetitive. To get a visitor to like your ruler, you basically have a solid 5 minute conversation of "I like X, I hate Y, I don't mind Z". There are some other dialogue options, but they don't seem to do much. You can ask how they feel about orcs, or tell them information about your kingdom, but there's no mechanical effect, so who cares? Esteem also makes no sense. Sometimes you talk to a visitor and end up with a maxed out esteem of your ruler with above average compatibility and they STILL won't join you because they "don't like you enough". You love me as much as possible but it's still not enough? Either fix that bug, or be more specific on what's blocking them from joining. Trade prices also seem a bit broken. Depending on how the visitor feels about your ruler, their prices will change, with a red-blue color gradient to show if they're raised or lowered them. I have NEVER seen a price beyond a faint blue. 99% of prices seem to always be "I hate you, here's the worst price". Basically nobody who visits ever loves you. At best you get indifferent or a slight like. But even they have terrible prices, so I don't get it. If all the prices are red, then just omit the color and admit they're just always set to be bad. There doesn't seem to be a speed stat for characters, so if the enemies are running away and you want to just finish them off, you will just chase them to the edge of the map because nobody can catch up with them since everyone runs at the same speed. And the archers can't shoot moving targets at all. It's hard to manage your items. There's a tiny scrollable list in the corner that's hard to use, so literally the best way to manage your town's inventory is to open the trade menu and scroll through that. There you have words with the icons so you can more easily scan for the items you're looking for. It's also hard to keep track of your crafting orders. Individual crafting stations show what they're configured to craft, but there's no easy way to see a list of ALL of them. This leads to two things: 1) You know you're crafting an item, but can't find the specific crafting station(s) doing it. 2) Since you can't always be sure how many stations are crafting a certain item (if any), you end up crafting more than you need because you either unknowingly made another crafter, or you ended the craft but didn't notice there was another one making the same items. You are constantly bombarded with notification numbers on various menu buttons, which are just triggering since most of them can be ignored entirely (why do I care about a world faction drama update every 3 seconds?). The game is also very slow for me, and I'm not sure why. First, I was at ~30 FPS but after building a dozen structures and having 15 or 15 citizens, I am not at ~10 FPS, and I have really good hardware. At first I thought there was just some compatibility issue so my FPS is lower than it should be (maybe I need to tweak some NVIDIA settings or something), but seeing it go down as I play tells me it's simply an optimization issue where the simulation crawls to a halt when there's more going on. Every game is like that, Cities Skylines lags a bit once your city spans the entire building area, but this limit gets hit so fast that I can't imagine how I'd be able to play a save for longer than 24 hours before having to quit it. Oh and one last MINOR nit-pick: There is a sound, and idk what causes it, that sounds EXACTLY like a phone vibrating. I thought the neighbors on the other side of my apartment wall had a phone getting notifications every 5 minutes until I realized it was the game.
I would absolutely recommend this game 10/10 very relaxing colony building sim with multiple options to go down to make each game feel unique. The community is very active with great mods that also expand on many of the vanilla aspects to the game. (the only thing i don't like is you can't make custom save file names. But that's more of my skill issue and playing multiple saves at once)
One of the few colony sims that I would say is better than Rimworld for me in terms of foundation / mechanics. It's like a combination of Banished, Rimworld, and Going Medieval. Most games of this genre start to feel the same in that you have to play a specific way, but not this one. You can play however you want and RP whatever colony you prefer. The event and quest system need to be more diverse, and performance need to be more optimized, other than that, the game is the best fantasy colony sim out there.
Bad interface
Years after i got the game the problem that made me stop play it still persist, i built a castle, gave a noble luxury room inside of it, but now he is demanding a T1 Cabin saying he will leave if i dont give it, i have no space inside gates for that, its stupid. Developers say its a mod problem, i have experienced this issue without mods.
