Unique concept executed well with nice graphics, good sound, good controls and a blast to play. Instant restarts and challenging. What more can you ask for? Great little game.
✅ Easy Achievements ➖The character blocks where you want to see almost completely, and the obstacles you've already passed also block your vision. ➖ "learn the map because you didn't see the obstacle coming" when it's supposed to be a skill and reflexes game XD
Со временем уровни заставляют тебя просто заучивать прохождение, так как препятствия далее тупо не видно
Rough around the edges, sometimes literary. The purple walls sucked me in for unknown reason, movement gets too slow on some segments, replaying them feels different. Not even sure if losing limbs improves mobility or not. But it is a good ride. It plays okay, but visuals steal the show. Somehow falling in a giant endless hole feels very aesthetically pleasing. The looks get better and better with each area, and one section had me say... woah. It reminds me, that no matter how bad the situation might look, sometimes you have to do your best. If you are going through hell, keep going. Or falling, in this case. One question that bothers me is, what the hell does he have on his back if not parachute? Whatever that is, it plays some good music. Wherry recommend.
For what is essentially an arcade-styled game that focuses on the completely skill-based gameplay of older retro days, No Parachute is an adrenaline-rush from beginning to end as you guide the most unfortunate gentleman, who fell from an airplane down below into this VERY deep cavern hole without the foresight of equipping a most convenient parachute on him beforehand, through a most dangerous pit that goes down for many miles as you evade a whole assortment of both natural and much more irregular obstacles as you progress through the various layers of the planet itself! Indeed, this isn't a game that you can easily chill out to and relax, seeing as the action is quick and to the point as you must swiftly evade any and all barriers that, without directing the character away from said danger in time, will result in a most unpleasant splatter of blood and a human pancake smashed all across the obstacle that stopped your progress here! Not just that but said blood marks remain when attempting the same level again as a reminder of where you last failed as well as no doubt being increasingly a more common sight as you make your way into the even more difficult stages with razor-thin obstacles that demand nothing but the absolute best of one's reflexes to fully master this game! Given how intense the gameplay can be here, even in relatively short bursts, No Parachute isn't for the faint of heart here as it's not just a game of many thrills but can also be quite gory as well as, alongside the remains of blood marks as mentioned before, there is a small 'forgiving' aspect of the game that doubles as a 'punishment' of sorts, by which I mean barely missing an obstacle by having your arm or leg hit it won't automatically fail you as, instead, it will result in said limb being cut off clean and leaving behind quite the splatter of a mess at that! Whilst that sounds all good, having a safety mechanism that does not result in more frustrating gameplay that has you blaming the game instead where it offers you a 'second chance' of sorts, this does impact your character's ability to move around so gracefully as each limb he loses will impact his ability to move around the tunnel's many obstacles more and more, whereby he will struggle to move much at all by the time he has only his mere torso and head to move around in! So yes, essentially it also acts as a punishment of sorts for not quite making it past obstacles where later levels demand near-perfection for evading obstacles, something that won't be possible to make even with the best of reflexes if you're missing an arm and a leg! Alongside the main story mode itself, No Parachute also offers an 'Endless Mode' of sorts, which is pretty much the one randomly-generated level that extends forever as you slowly go faster and faster and the obstacles become more complex and difficult to evade alongside the increasing speed, where you have only one live and losing a limb may very well spell the end for your run unlike in the story mode where especially skilled players can get by with the loss of multiple limbs! Definitely worth a shot after completing the main game or returning to it if you decide you want to check it out first to see just how much you'll have improved since then! Suppose if I did have to offer some criticisms though, the game can feel a tad repetitive before long, with there not being much of any extra 'layers' when it comes to new gameplay mechanics and the likes, since it is purely a skill-based game to seeing just how far you can get down to the centre of the Earth as it were! Alongside that, the retro pixelized graphics may not be to everybody's tastes and attaining 3-star ranks for each story mode level, outside of the tutorial, is VERY difficult and may drive completionists up the wall trying to ensure that each level has that perfect 3-star rank at that! Otherwise, I would say that No Parachute is quite the excellent game when it comes down to getting that nice arcade experience going, a short burst of fun that also offers some extra challenge for those looking to take the game more seriously here! TLDR Version: • Great adrenaline rush for those searching for a quick action game with neat mechanics (+) • Excellent balance in difficulty, starting off as simple and forgiving but gradually turns to more devious and otherworldly obstacles as the environment changes the further deeper down you go (+) • Fair amount of replayability in story mode alone for getting all 3-star ranks alongside an Endless Mode for those looking to test and hone their skydiving skills (+) • Decent price for the content offered in this game (+) • Good use of pixel graphics that are enhanced with the 3D nature of falling quickly through the pit's many obstacles, both natural and bizarre, as you progress further and further downwards (+) • Pixel graphics may be a sorespot for some who are looking for more detail in their games (-) • The game's focus on pure skillplay and mastery over evading many obstacles through developing one's quick-thinking skills and reflexes could prove to be a barrier for those looking for a more casual experience (-) • No extra gameplay mechanics that helps to make the skydiving experience more interesting that offers more dynamic gameplay as you learn more of the game's world and controls over time (-)
Not the worst game but didn't really enjoy it either. Movement felt kind of awkward to me and your character blocking the screen when you're falling really ruined it for me.
An exhilarating, solidly-built action game with hilarious damage visuals. The premise is simple. You forgot your parachute, so you're boned if you don't dodge everything that's coming at you as you plummet down a tunnel on the planet's surface. If you partially strike something, no problem! You'll just lose a limb. Or all of your limbs and just be a bloody torso screaming into the void. Either way, just make sure said torso doesn't strike anything, or it's splatter time, but the awesome thing about that is the game records every place you've died (when restarting the same level), so you'll see your splat marks the next time you pass the exact same spot again. The graphics are simple, but detailed nonetheless, and with progressive variety. The framerate is smooth. The controls are responsive. They may seem a bit slow, but if you were able to maneuver TOO quickly, it would probably suck the challenge right out of it. Since every level is static, you already have the advantage of being able to memorize what's coming at you over multiple failures. So yeah, again; simple, fun, well executed, well built. Most definitely recommended! ^_^
A throwback to classic shareware games. I like the look of levels, and gameplay is absolutely maddening. Great game to kill a few minutes.

Great concept, poor execution. The character blocks where you want to see almost completely, and the obstacles you've already passed also block your vision. Makes no sense whatsoever when we're supposed to be said character's perspective. This turns the game into a "learn the map because you didn't see the obstacle coming" when it's supposed to be a skill and reflexes game.
