The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. A lot to do and a lot of nice sights.
lots of space
An endless universe is not that good if you'll be encountering the same planet over and over, if every planet feels the same with a slightly different gimmick, if every planet has the same points of interest and the same things to do, if every space station is the same on the inside. In five hours I had seen everything I would be seeing for the next 35 that I played and I knew it, but I was stubborn.
