this is so ♥♥♥♥ I was foaming at the mouth in order to refund it, bad enemy's, bad spectating, bad objective, bad everything, most importantly it's not fun or funny bad. pls don't waste your time.
I guess its fine for 7 bucks, fun ton play with friends
pretty good for 6 bucks
Niktophobia feels so alive! The first impression? Totally awesome—you’re hooked right away. The tutorial could use a little more love, though. But once you’re in, it all makes sense. All the props are chilling in the lobby room, but who did they even test this on? The laughs hit hard—from killer jump scares to that goofy robot that’s just pure gold. The main monster, that alien? It’ll smack you down in one hit, no joke. But here’s the kicker—you can resurrect! That’s a huge win competitors don’t have. It’s a wild, crazy ride—jump in already!
I liked everything! I read the negative reviews but didn’t find a single bug mentioned in them, probably because patches are released daily. There is a tutorial, and the first contract mission also serves as a tutorial without any threats. There’s plenty of content and props in the store—I didn’t have time to buy everything myself, but as I understand it, you can try everything out in the lobby room. 8/10
edit 4/6/25 - a lot of the bugs have been fixed and the game runs a LOT better now! It's still a bit confusing exactly what to do to set the autodestruct (how many batteries are needed, etc) but that is way more streamlines. Also still a bit confusing how the UV "affects monsters". BUT we were able to play 3 rounds of the game! When we couldn't even complete 1 before! So that's a GREAT improvement! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- OG review: I tried to play with a mix of PC and VR players. I played on PC, myself. We had to reload the lobby 4 times due to people getting disconnected or the game not working for them. When we finally got in, it wasn't clear enough how to play. I had watched someone play on YT for a bit, and even after that I was still confused. We had thought we set the autodestruct 3 separate times and kept having to go back to do it before we ended up dying. It wouldn't let us complete the game after the destruct was set, even though the scans were all done and the autodestruct was indeed set, since the 10 second countdown activated and it killed us, but the monitor wouldn't let us leave. This game has a lot of potential, but needs more polish first. **I can't say I fully recommend it in its current state,** but even with just a tutorial and some bug fixes I can see this game being great! I can definitely see myself playing this game in the future when it's more fleshed out!
