About

CRYODEATH blends procedural generation, crafting, and hands-on VR survival to make every run unpredictable. Corridors reconfigure, rooms resurface, and the thing hunting you won’t stalk you the same way twice. There are no perfect routes, no guaranteed safe rooms, and no guide that can truly prepare you.
Inspired by classics of sci-fi horror, the game has undergone a transformative year of development. Our next update delivers the most refined, nerve-shredding version yet—some creators didn’t make it past the first encounter.
Scavenge. Craft. Improvise. Build gadgets to distract, disable, or barely outpace what hunts you. Movement is deliberate and physical: sound carries, light betrays, and panic makes mistakes loud. Adapt long enough to piece together what happened aboard the Evriskon
Reworked movement system with responsive sprinting & HMD-based direction
Significantly improved grabbing, interactions, and handling
Containers, drawers, and objects now feel natural and fluid
Enemies now track, react, and hunt more effectively
Harder to escape once detected
More intense and unpredictable encounters
Greater variety in layouts and routes
New shaft types and higher encounter probability
Every run feels more dynamic and less predictable
Hunt Mode – new mode + new ending (unlocked after completion)
Sidearm added – expand your last-resort options later in the game / on the new Hunt Mode
Completely rebuilt UI system
Better clarity, feedback, and immersion
Improved inventory and crafting flow
New “Mother” voice system guiding players through the experience
Added Chinese language support
Improved onboarding and tutorial flow
Major framerate improvements
Fixed critical issues (including glass FPS drops)
Reworked physics and breakable systems
Large-scale bug fixing and polish across the game

Every Playthrough is unique to you — A procedurally generated station reshuffles rooms, shafts, and choke points every run for fresh tension and pacing.
Survive Your Way — Sneak, distract, or confront using crafted gadgets and scavenged tools—then improvise when plans fall apart. Stealth is key.
Adaptive Threats — Reworked AI tracks sight, sound, and patterns. Cheap tricks won’t save you.
Tactile VR Immersion — Diegetic interfaces, physical interactions, and suffocating claustrophobia.
Environmental Storytelling — Logs, locations, and whispers in the dark reveal the Evriskon’s story.

CryoDeath VR has excellent graphics and a strong sense of immersion. I normally dislike horror games, but the detailed visuals and atmosphere made this one really enjoyable. It’s a great VR experience, even if horror isn’t usually your thing.
Cryodeath is an awesome game. The atmosphere is unmatched. You traverse a dimly lit space station just tensely waiting for your next encounter. The entire time, you are scrounging around for crafting pieces to defend yourself from said encounter. Accidentally knocking something over, or a door opening before you expect it to can cause you to jump. When you see an enemy, you'd better hope that you've managed to piece together some form of offense - or else you're going to need to run and hide. The game's level design and crafting system immediately got me interested in the game. There are these massive tubes that have really cool particle beams in them, giant machines with massive gears that turn, all while in a mostly dark, silent environment. The game has plenty of jump scares, mixed with some looting & crafting. The puzzles can get extremely difficult. You create improvised explosive devices, trip mines, and can eventually unlock a blaster pistol if you progress far enough. You can craft a drone which helps you scan for items, alerts you to threats, and is your only friend in your quest to evacuate the space station. I often would boot up Cryodeath with the intent of playing one level, maybe an hour or two, only to look at a clock and realize I had been roaming the game for much longer. Once you have some experience in crafting in the game, know what pieces you need and which ones you can pass up, the game really gets fun. The map design's narrow halls create a labyrinth that can have you wandering back and forth - especially if you need to run indiscriminately to get away from enemies. The game doesn't hold your hand, you're going to need to craft things together at first without knowing their purpose, test them out, and learn through trial and error. Cryodeath is definitely worth checking out - I was immediately hooked on the game and couldn't get enough. You can make one small mistake, and lose an hour worth of progress on a floor. I highly recommend anyone who enjoys VR horror to give this game a try. I was pleasantly surprised and took to it like no other single player VR game I had played before. I mainly play VR extraction shooters, or heavy action based games.. I'd go as far as to say VR horror is quite low on the list of games that I seek out to play - but Cryodeath became a black hole for me. If you take the time to learn the game, the crafting, you'll find yourself sucked into that black hole as well. The best way to describe the game in terms of other games would be: Alien: Isolation meets Dead Space, but I hate comparing games to other games. Cryodeath is a unique game in its own right.
Seems like a really good game IF THE ARMS AND LEGS WERE STRAIGHT AND NOT BENT. Kept thinking I'm crouched but legs are just always bent. Hard to use wrist computer because arms are always bent. Refunded game because of this but repurchased in hope THEY FIX THIS PROBLEM because this has the potential to be a great game.
A unique experience that is a rare gem in the VR world. Graphics: 9/10 I played at an early stage and the game was absolutely stunning. I am used to more muddy experiences in VR, but the visuals popped on my Quest 3 lenses (hooked up via Virtual Destop to PCVR). The only reason it didn't earn a 10 is it is an extremely dark game so I feel like some of the detail is lost just due to the dark environment. Gameplay: 8/10 For a true horror survival player this game is sure to be a hit. It plays alot like Dead Space but harsher, more limited resources, and obviously in VR. The games enemies are annoyingly relentless which I found to be a small problem at times, but I know it was my skill level with this type of game as others seemed to have no issue. I did however LOVE all the puzzle elements included, as they worked seamlessly with the gameplay and felt rewarding but not too difficult. Replayability: 6/10 For me it's not a game I would play over and over again, however as it is such a cheap ride relatively speaking, I think it is one well worth the price of admission. Overall: 8.7/10 The dev's seem to actually CARE about this game, and I can't wait to see how they further improve this game. I am positive they will continue to support it and I can't wait to see what else they come with in the future.
To start the review off... Yes I did receive the game for free to try out, no strings attached so I could be honest about what I think of the game. The atmosphere is very sinister and dark, the monsters are unpredictable, the crafting is unique and very well done, the monsters are disgusting and scary and the puzzles are fun and challenging. I absolutely crapped my pants more than once! If you like horror games and even if you don't.. yes try the game, it's surprisingly well build and fun to play! You can encounter some very tiny bugs but the devs are actively updating the game and thus the game might change from how it is on release. Extra's may get added to the game too!
I can very proudly say that throughout the 3 times I've played this game and the very limited time it looks that I've put into it... I have ♥♥♥♥ my pants every time. If you want a VR game to make you as uncomfortable and nervous as possible while also maintaining that amazing vibe then this is 100% for you. although i have made it out to be a very uncomfortable game, it was actually very pretty for a VR game and with the addition of procedurally generated environments, this game felt like a brand new experience every time i had opened the game. I don't care if there was a lot of store prefabs used in the making of this game, but whatever the developers used in the making of this game makes the artstyle and feel of this game truly worth it. Not to mention its price of $18 and making it down to $2 when on sale it is very much so worth it! Graphics- 9/10 Gameplay- 9/10 Physics- 8/10 (Grabbing takes a little bit of getting used to) Mechanics- 7/10 (they need a more visible tutorial but the mechanics themselves are actually really cool) Sound- 9/10 (Puts you on edge big time) Overall a great game and most definetly worth the money. (i hope you continue working on this game, devs!)
Awesome game was lucky enough to be one of the first to play the revamped version and help reccomend and test changes to the game. if you like puzzles and horror this game delivers a highly suspensful game that gives that aliens vibe mixed with silent hill and no this aint a paid review its my honest opinion.
Cryodeath is a great game I’ve played it tons of times and every-time I get a scare I really recommend you play this game.
I got gifted CryoDeath to try out and let me tell you… this game had me jumping out of my skin. I straight up threw my headset on the ground from a jump scare. The atmosphere is insane and the tension never lets up. 10/10 if you like being scared and embarrassed on stream.
