My favourite track from Nightmare Drive's radio is called Rust and Silence, which at the same time greatly describes the feel of the game's world. In a good way, of course. Put your Jalopy together with those few parts that are laying around, find some smelly liquids to fill up the guzzler and venture off into the desert. Left or right, you'll be eating flies until you find a windshield and see nothing in the dark until you find at least one headlight. First vehicle will be pretty incomplete, rusty and multiple-colored upon leaving start area, but you will locate and install more and more original parts as you travel the post-apocalyptic land. Brushing off the dusty rust, painting all the body panels same colour and putting the last OEM part on your car feels almost as good as discovering a full container of oil just as your engine starts to cough up black smoke. Or finding a magazine just before night falls. Although in early access, ND already works and plays very smooth, while having it's bumps swiftly ironed out by the developer, who took the game and it's community very seriously and actively keeps improving the already nice product. I am very much looking forward to all the fun hours spent on Nightmare Drive! If you like similar games, do not hesitate to try it out, you can even test the demo version first :)
