About
Black Gold: Oil Drilling Simulator puts you right in the muddy boots of a pioneer chasing the ultimate fortune. This is a first-person management game where success isn't handed to you it’s built with sweat, grease, and raw ambition.

You don’t just buy an oil rig; you build it. Start by clearing the land, chopping timber, and processing the materials needed to erect your very first derricks. Every plank laid and structure raised is a direct result of your hard labor.

Machinery is the beating heart of your operation, but these iron beasts need constant babysitting. Listen to the rhythm of the pumps, replace grinding gears, and fight off the ever-present rust. If you don't maintain your equipment, the elements will gladly take it back.

You can't drain the earth dry on your own. Hire a rugged crew to handle the heavy lifting. Train your workers to boost efficiency, and don't forget to upgrade your home base. Better living conditions mean higher morale, unlocking new ways to streamline your growing business.

Selling that first barrel of crude changes everything. Watch your funds skyrocket and immediately reinvest. Research early 1900s tech, expand your drilling territory, and replace rusty valves with industrial marvels. The race for wealth is unforgiving, but the payoff is legendary.

The Playway Game checklist: - Uncle leaves the thing for you to take over [YES] - Pick up trash [YES] - Chop Trees [YES] - Terrible AI Voice Acting [YES] after the playway things above that are in SOOO MANY playway games, the game gets somewhat interesting, but it is quickly ruined by the game being way too dark and red, even during the day. Speaking of daylight, it lasts about 5 mins then you're back to darkness. After you're 3rd level the game gets far too grindy and you will want to quit.
almost a perfect game. but the automation sucks. "Now that you got the sawmill, you wont have to cut trees yourself anymore!" *has to cut trees and move my own wood still cause automation drones suck in speed in this game* If game gets some better improvements, maybe i can recommend it, but for now its a short game really. with lots of tedious woodcutting and mining for metal Also with how short the game was, i wish i waited for a 50% discount instead of buying it at $10, this isnt a $10 game sadly. I finished it within 4 hours.

It is NOT a Oil Drilling Simulator. It is however a wood hauling simulator. 95% of the time you will be chopping and hauling wood... Dead Serious. This should be early access. Farly good size map that is completely useless. You cannot even build 60% of it. A town you cannot access. A dog that won't shut up b/c your derriks need oiled way to often. Once you get the Lumbermill, the drone delivers the wood logs very slowly and often misses the wood pile for each machine. Another type of drone for collecting random 'treasures' cannot even keep up with the kerosine production. You cannot build more than one! In the current state... you know. You Have Been Warned.
Schade. So leider keine Empfehlung.
I played the demo 15 months ago and loved it, then played the full game to realise they've done almost nothing with the game in them months and you'll spend more time chopping down trees and mining ore for metal ingots than anything else. The majority of upgrades cost $2,000 when you get closer to the end of the game and the lumberjack with upgrades to automate wood gathering is too slow to fuel even a single oil derrick with 1 or 2 basic buildings around it. I got the popup saying I had completed the entire campaign in 3 hours and part of that was being forced to run around finding journal pages as a main quest objective that are in fixed areas, most of the time on the other side of the map to your previous pickup to unlock new derricks and then saving $10,000 to bribe the government into letting you open a pipeline. I do not recommend this game at all, the only fun thing was the unstuck cheat code. If you need to get somewhere and the house is much closer to that place than where you are, press F11 and you'll teleport back to the house, even with items in your hands.
11/10 Would definitely recommend if you are looking for an interactive, go around and upgrade all of the things type game. Lost several hours to it and the demo, and definitely want to keep playing
I really really really want to give this a positive. But. "Selling that first barrel of crude changes everything. Watch your funds skyrocket and immediately reinvest. Research early 1900s tech, expand your drilling territory" I would give it a positive, even with the negatives I will list below, if not for this. Research Tech? Is this something I missed in the 2.7 hours it took me to complete the main game? Adding wood and metal bars to a structure is researching? Paying cash for a part is researching? Expand my territory? The map is a decent dize and with everything there, how do I expand at all? The Lumbermill barely accomodates 2 fully upgraded derricks next to your house let alone if you were to place it a bit further away. Likes: 1. I like the concept and progression, even if it's a bit fast. 2. I like upgrading the derricks, maybe i could upgrade my tools and they could start crappy and improve with time too. 3. I like the concept of the metal mine, lumber mill etc, they're just poorly executed. Dislikes: 1. Why is a drone dropping off my wood and sellables in 1900? Just curious. 2. Why do all the cars and trains speed through my land? Don't they respect my authority and the laws of train-track-physics? So much dust. 3. WHY IS THE LUMBERMILL SO BUNK. Why can't we start out with the lumbermill EARLIER, and instead of not hiring someone to work there and a drone shows up to help, why don't you just hire a single guy who chops wood. You can maybe even hire another guy who cuts trees and brings the logs to the lumbermill, the lumbermill guy cuts it, then maybe another guy can be hired to deliver to seleted (or auto) derricks. I'm fine with just one person cutting wood but the drone thing hauls me out of it entirely, along with the fact that even at max level it's slow as heck and can't keep up with 2 Derricks and the accompanying gear. I spent 6 hours playing, I want to spend another 20+ I just feel like the content is NOT there and the stuff that is, tries to get you out the door too quick. Why don't I start with a bad axe my grandfather handed my down that takes forever to cut a tree? I can buy a better quality one later. Everything gets automated so quick and the only three efficient things are the guy tossing full barrels to the sale pit and the guy refilling the fuel and the guy tossing empty barrels to the derrick dudes.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Black Gold: Oil Drilling Simulator I went into this thinking, “How hard can drilling for oil be?” Apparently, very hard… especially when your machinery is held together by rust, hope, and whatever spare parts I haven't lost yet. 😂 What I really like is the progression. Upgrading your tools and equipment actually feels rewarding — you start off looking like you're drilling oil with equipment from a museum, and before long you're building a proper little oil empire. The hiring system is great too. Need more workers? Hire them. Someone isn't pulling their weight? Fire them. Sorry Dave, but standing around looking at the oil pump isn't technically “working.” 😂 The controls and menus are also really easy to navigate, which I appreciate. You're not spending half your playtime trying to find the upgrade button or wondering which menu contains the menu for another menu. There's something really satisfying about starting small, improving your equipment, building up your crew and watching the operation grow. Then you make a bit of money and immediately spend it on upgrades because apparently I'm incapable of saving money in any simulator. 🛢️💰 Easy to get into, fun progression, satisfying upgrades, and plenty of opportunities to become an oil baron. Recommended if you enjoy management and simulator games. Now excuse me, I have an employee to fire and a rusty machine to upgrade. 😂🛢️
