NightCry is set on a cruise ship, and you have been invited along for the cruise of a (possibly short) lifetime. While your surroundings are luxurious and the guests are friendly, not everything is as it should be. The guests and the crew start to turn up dead, the victims of some foul murderer.

Doesn't quite live up to the legacy of the original Clock Tower, and it's sequel. But it was nice to see this type of horror game return, as it is quite unique for the genre.
Honestly? I loved this more than I thought I would. It's janky as hell and feels extremely low budget but it's a charming little game with clever puzzles. Also Monica is a badass. If you have a soft spot for PS1/PS2 Survival Horror games you'll enjoy it.
i havent finished the game yet im on the final chapter near the end tho and i wanna say that overall this game is actually pretty good for an indie project. the graphics are lacking but theres a real passion behind this game i think overall its pretty cool the choices/actions u make determine the ending like the og clocktower however this game is significantly long so it makes it more annoying to reach a bad ending especially because many of the story affecting actions are easily missed such as getting a ring from a vending machine. although the game uses a flowchart system showing u exactly what lead u down ur urrent path so after ur first run it shouldnt be hard to see what u missed. as for puzzles and progression, its fine theres this annoying system where a character wont speak all their dialogue at once so u need to talk to them multiple times in a row to progress, one section like this in chapter 3 can lead to a bad end if u dont call ur friend in between talking with a crew member, kinda stupid but it makes sense i guess considering the context of the scene.... genuinely dont think this game is possible without a guide cuz of how many small actions can kill u or give u a bad end. the story... idrk i skipped most of it. i always prefer the gameplay of these types of games over the story but the general idea is still understood, 3 interlinked protagonists, a boat, a murderer, a cult. the controls suck i understand that as a clock tower spiritual successor they wanted to keep the point and click style but fun fact clocktower was a 2d environment while this is 3d with fixed camera angles meaning i often got stuck on angle changes or environments during chases. 100% if u like clocktower, remothered, coma, dead of night or any other survival horror stalker games then buy this, preferrably on sae but be aware that its very janky with mechanics that arent the most intuitive.
Nightcry is an old school point and click horror game so scissor cutting bad you mightcry playing! The crowd funded disaster game takes place on a haunted ship where you play as multiple characters trying to escape and solve the mystery of the scissor wielding monster on board. This game has a boat load of issues from the awkward running animations, glitched character hair waving like a flag on a pirate ship, lack of any facial animations and having to click on an object multiple times for a character to use it to the bigger issues such as the game locking you to a bad ending for very random unexplained reasons such as missing an item that is never actually used by characters in game such as a wedding ring found in a vending machine, if you miss this random item you will not get a good ending . This game should of modernised the point and click genre instead it forgot this isn't the 90's anymore! Fair difficulty is appreciated but confusing design is not. The overall game design is very random and I would love to know the amount of players able to get through this mess without a walkthrough. One example is not being allowed upstairs until you click on a brochure of the ship, even if you already have the keys for the upstairs area. The game also fails to highlight small items so expect to constantly wave your cursor around to not miss anything as you will get a game over that will kick you back to the title screen. Was the development team entirely made of underpaid teenage interns? Keep in mind the guy behind the first two amazing clock tower games was in charge of this as well as the music being composed by the composer of classic castlevania tracks so it is not like there was a lack of talent on board this ship of devs. I am currently locked to a bad ending despite only being about halfway through what should be the full game and I am honestly not wasting my time to figure out what I should do to fix it. Maybe I forgot to click on a framed picture of cheese 8 times, I would not be suprised with how strict this game is of what you must do to pass. I should also mention how this game fails in the horror department too as the geniuses behind this project thought to make every encounter with the pretty cool monster scripted, killing any tension as you explore. So as long as you memorise what not to click on to avoid triggering the monster you will be safe. Over all this game wastes any potential and seems like it should be made a free mobile port, which is funny as this was intended to be a mobile game. I would like to see a remake however as with some care and polish this could be a great modern point and click title! Dear devs, do better!
Loved the clocktower series since childhood however this game is a steaming heap of ♥♥♥♥♥ to put it kindly... Frick its bad, but at least there's a remaster of the first clocktower coming.
