Very cozy jrpg although a tad shallow, story and game mechanics could use more depth. Story was ok, ending was good. Wished for better content after story was done though, stay around to max out city seems very pointless. Needs to be played at hard minimum, normal is more like story mode.
Ni no Kuni offers a unique look into animated graphical backgrounds mixed with gaming foregrounds. The transitions are gorgeous.
...............................................................................idk what to say butttttt its a heartwarming storyline about a litte boy named Evan and all his other friends he makes along the way(im not spoiling) who wants to become king of the world :3
bon jeu y'a pas mal de chose a faire
I love playing this game. I have it on PC, PS5, and Switch. The story is really well paced and it's not worn out. The mechanics are very smooth and there's not much issue, though you have to be strategic about your blocking and dodging. The game won't let you stop an attack to block or dodge, so be mindful of when you time your attacks so you don't get hit. It's not just an RPG and attack game either. There's kingdom building, dungeon crawling, exploration, and skirmishes. There's plenty to do in this game and it will keep you entertained for many hours. I especially enjoy the kingdom building aspect. Nothing more satisfying then seeing a tiny little kingdom go from just a few little buildings to a huge sprawling nation. Better yet, the kingdom building isn't set apart from the game play. It's relevant and necessary to upgrade your kingdom to upgrade your characters. It can get a little grindy and tedious at times though, but a break from playing usual helps. I will warn you that the DLCs are MUCH more grindy than the base game. I don't mind grindy games though, I play Monster Hunter for heaven's sake. Talk about Min-Maxing.
After 32 hours of playtime, I must say I like this game a lot. I haven't gotten far (I think) only to level 43 and chapter 7 but I myself like the story. I have 2 little "complaints" with the game but these don't even matter. It's nothing close to bugs it's just bugging me. - First, I dislike invisible walls but I can see why they did it anyway and it's not that big of a deal (I got used to it in World of Tanks). - Second, I don't like that if I try to jump on terrain I'm not supposed to my character can get stuck in the air and sometimes it's difficult to get unstuck, but this is a very small complaint since most of the time you can see where you should and shouldn't go. But enough of the "negatives" (I can't list more). Let's get to the praising part. - I like how big the world is and yet I don't feel like it is too big. This is a problem I usually have with open-world games since most studios can't make big worlds nowadays. - I also like how most of the map is one big map and there aren't many loading screens thanks to that, also when there is one, it always surprises me that it is very if not incredibly fast. The longest loading screen I had in-game is not longer than 2 seconds with only the save loading being longer than that. - I also like the aesthetic of the game, I think it looks nice and it's not too heavy on the steel it's running on. - I like that the combat is not hard but it's not like you can just delete everything with one click and the enemies can pack a punch if you're not there with your attention. - I like the party and followers function. They do actually help and aren't just there to watch you fight. - I also like the battle between armies part of the game as well. If someone asked me should they get this game I would say yes without hesitation. I could go on and on about the things I like about the game but this review is already too long as it is so I'm ending it here.
