Next Run

If you like Roguelikes, then you may want to look somewhere else. This one is not particularly interesting. Sure, there is, theoretically, a lot to do: crafting, gathering, etc. But in practice, you mainly need to boost your defense and your attack in a way or another, leaving no room for other fancy stuff. Also, it has "roguelike" only in the name: from one run to another, you do not accumulate anything: no cards, no strength, nothing. It is just a standard, meh non-roguelike game.

Honestly for the money i piad its worth it, found a few minor bugs along the way but still worth playinng Edit 12-17-25 Bugs been fixed, and FAST! just get it. its cheaper than a movie ticket.

Incredibly addictive. Looks basic, and like every other game you've seen, but the mechanics and balance are perfect. You get completely lost in it. As I have.. I bought the game 4 days ago and already have a life-questioning 44 hours gameplay on it. Its so replayable that it should come with a warning. You don't want to quit mid-game, and you are desperate to immediately correct that mistake that led to your death in your last run. The graphics will put you off. The title screen even moreso. It looks like it will be a budget game with budget mechanics. Its not. It's really really well thought through. I get the name now too. Next run. I'll get it right on my Next Run. 10/10

Plenty of options for classes so that is nice, but the time between attacks are simply to fast for you to be able to do much depending on the class you picked you will lose allot, maybe in time i could figure out how to not die but its not worth the effort. Good thing the game got a sandbox mode so you can play the game and test things out, villages sell stuff and it seem to be random and once you buy something then that village will have one item less to sell as it does not refresh the store as far i have seen so far. The map is random too, allot of times you are surrounded by level 2 threats that you can not beat, if you do manage to survive the wave attack will finish you off with their level 3 threat most of the time. This game is heavy on being lucky and playing the correct way, some classes are better for survival then others. If they keep working on the game then maybe one day it will be worth it but right now i would have to say no, its not a horrible game just not a good one yet.

屋外のヘクスマップでやる｢不思議のダンジョン｣的なゲーム。そして、こちらの準備が出来たかどうかに関わらず、ボスが向こうからやってくる。何体目のボスだったか分からないが”堕天使”というボスは、クリアさせまいと、かなりやけくそなパラメータ設定でやってくる。難易度普通でも、クリア出来ない。 基本のクラス”戦士”でプレイしたが、｢不思議のダンジョン｣シリーズを５０分の１ぐらいまで簡素化した感じ。価格も５０分の１ぐらいならまだ良かったんだが…。

Next Run is a turn based hex board game where you are a hero tasked with stopping demons from taking over the world. I just 100% completed this game and enjoyed every minute! There are so many things you can do in this game with multiple ways to win. You start the game by choosing the difficulty / type of game. Sandbox is a stress free mode which lets you explore the entire game without a turn limit. Easy/Standard/Nightmare is turn limited as enemies are sent to attack at time periods. You choose a class which determines what your hero is 'best' at, but doesnt limit your hero at all. For example: A crafter can still be an excellent warrior and a warrior can still be a really good mage, and a mage ... well they're technically the best class. There is also the peasant which counts as 'hard mode'. Anyway, instead of me telling you how to play the game I'll tell you what you can do in the game: Be a Warrior or Mage and punch/blast things to death! Be a Lord who starts with a settlement and grow it into a castle while conquering the other settlements in the world! Be a Leader who recruits units into their army either from hiring at settlements or even bribing your enemies to join! Be a Crafter who saves money by harvesting resources and crafting everything by hand! Be a Necromancer who digs up graveyards for remains or turns the corpses of their enemies into an army of the undead! Or be what you want to be! You can be a hybrid of all of these things! Freedom of choice is the best part of the game and the power to choose is yours! I hope you have fun! Im off for Another Run!
