This game is very interesting. Gameplay wise, it's alright, the combat is really clunky and hard to get around, I bounced between this and Cult of the Lamb around the same time so between the two this games combat was really hard to like. But the content that's here for $1 is pretty nice, the game has complex characters that aren't always doing what you need them to do or want them to do. They have their own drive, and personal interests. The game does have some glitches, I attempted to play this on Steam Deck with varying results. Trying to play "A cheap game where your put four chips in a line" Crashed this game on Steam Deck. That's really my main gripes with the title. If it was fixed in that regard I'd definitely say this game is up there as one of the best single session games I've played. Cloud saves would be nice but not really that important since you can beat the game in about ~4 hrs Music is really good! Overall 8/10
I was quite happily surprised by this game, so much content for such a cheap price! I loved pretty much everything about it - art, music, characters... and the story, of course. Really looking forward to chapter 2!
Certainly interesting, even if a bit rough around the edges. At times gave me "Ib" game vibes, although it doesn't quite reach it, yet. Music and the art style are certainly the strongest things going for the game. Puzzles also took me a while. It was a disappointment to learn after the fact that the game isn't actually "done" since as of time of writing, only chapter 1 exists, but part of that is on me for not reading the game description. Looking forward to the rest of the game in the future.
Great game, good characters, intuitive puzzles. It really feels like one of the classic RPGMaker Horror games. Game only has one chapter as for now. But as a start I would say it's worth it The game is also cheap, there is nothing else to say.
An interesting little indie game, with polished characters and some unanswered questions. Odd choice not to use WASD movement though. Here's hoping the dev returns to this for chapter 2 eventually, and keeps up communication with the playerbase next time. I might consider writing a guide for this too, there isn't anything so far a year later...
really good game. not super long but since it's only the first chapter that's to be expected. it's also only .99 cents! so totally worth the money, and even if it was more money, i'd still say it's worth it. i can't wait for the next chapter :)
The art style and art direction is cool and easily its biggest strength. The music works well with the environment. When it comes to gameplay it's a relatively standard RPG horror game. The 'knife' button sets it apart gameplay wise from others. The knife can be used to attack enemies and solve puzzles so it was nice that it was relevant for the entire game and actually deserves its own button. In the mid game the knife does take a backseat for a while and because of that I did forget about the versatility of the knife. (There was a puzzle I was stuck on for a bit since I didn't realize I could hit an object with the knife). Some parts really surprised me, like the amount of secrets and mechanics some enemies had. The amount of secrets might be a bit too high, since if you want to find them all (or a large number of them) you will find yourself walking a lot with finding anything. I personally haven’t found all the secrets and I don't think I will. Overall it was a fun experience. The game takes about 2 to 3 hours and I recommend that you finish it in one session. Games like this work well because of the atmosphere and you don’t want to be taken out of the experience. The game takes inspiration from IB so if you like games like that you will like this game. I will be looking forward to what the creator makes next.
Decent puzzler with nice art! Somewhat clunky in some aspects, though some of that can be attributed to the game engine and keyboard. Also ran into at least one bug, but it didn't break anything, it was just odd. It works on Linux/Steam Deck, but you NEED a keyboard or rebinds!
