Characters can carry up to 9 magic treasures and 9 cultivation techniques
Core Gameplay: The game uses an idle combat mode. Players organize a 3x3 formation of heroes for automatic combat (level progression/looping) to advance through stages, and can challenge special dungeons such as the Tower of Heaven and Ancient Secret Realm.
Cultivation and Progression: Heroes possess spiritual roots (from common to divine) and levels, which can be upgraded by consuming spirit stones (e.g., Qi Refining, Foundation Establishment). Using a large number of elixirs allows heroes to improve their spiritual roots.
In-depth Equipment System: Characters can wear equipment in multiple slots (weapons, armor, rings, etc.), skill books, pets, mounts, and magic treasures. Equipment has quality, level, and random attributes (e.g., Bloodthirst, Divine Speed). High-quality equipment (Immortal grade and above) can have multiple attributes.
Resources and Systems: Players obtain resources through combat, logging (to obtain spirit stones), and spiritual fields (to cultivate spiritual herbs). Spiritual herbs are used to refine elixirs to create more potent medicines. Other systems include Heavenly Dao Enlightenment (to obtain star souls) and the Mysterious Island (to obtain mounts).
Reincarnation System: A reincarnation system allows players to reset their progress to obtain reincarnation points, which can be used to purchase permanent starting bonuses, such as high-quality characters or starting spirit stone reserves.

The first time you start this idle game, you’ll be drowned in an Asian language and options you can click on. Everything will feel random, and I spent a few minutes just clicking around without knowing what the buttons actually did. But if you dig around a bit, you’ll eventually find the settings menu and the option to switch the language to English. Naturally, the language option should be available right at the start or at least somewhere visible. The whole game is very minimalistic and looks like some sort of old school manager simulator where you click through spreadsheets filled with buttons. The layout is not great because you will constantly have to scroll through options and search for the one you need. The first thing you need to do is visit the tavern to recruit heroes. The tavern is hidden in the Travel option, which includes several other locations. You start with enough stones, the game’s currency, to buy a few heroes. Next, you go to the Form option to place them into a grid. You start with only three open slots, but you can later upgrade this to unlock the remaining slots and end up with a group of nine heroes. Now you are finally ready to click on the first option, Slay, and let them fight enemies. The whole thing does not require any effort because heroes will either beat all enemies and automatically move on to the next stage, or farm gear and resources on the last completed stage if they get defeated. Victory or defeat always heals heroes, so there is no need to rest them or wait for recovery. From this point on, your task is to occasionally click on Heroes, where you will find the Equip button, which automatically gears up a hero with the best equipment collected from defeated enemies, and the Upgrade button, where you pay stones to boost all of their stats. Stones, by the way, are gained constantly from defeated enemies. Another thing you gain is satchels, which come in several rarity tiers and stack up on a separate screen. When you decide to pay attention to the game, you can open all acquired satchels at once and hopefully get better gear. New heroes show up in the tavern after a while, and they can be ordinary or belong to one of three rarity tiers, with legendary being the best. If you do not like the offer, you can refresh it a few times, or even use the auto refresh option, which keeps spending refresh charges until you land on the selected rarity tier. Since there is room for only so many heroes in a party, the rest can be sent to work for additional stones. There is meditation, wood chopping, and farming, but you start with only one free slot for each and need to unlock more by completing quests. Quests are completed simply by playing, either by reaching a certain stage or killing a requested number of monsters. Normally, a hero spends around one hour of real time to finish a task, but this time decreases as the hero’s level increases. Most additional options unlock new battle modes for your heroes. There is the Tower mode, where you climb floors and restart upon defeat, but you need to wait several real time hours before you can try again. You can also fight bosses for the best gear, or pets that can help you out. These options become available once you reach certain stages in the main Slay mode. Like in most idle games, there is a prestige option that resets your heroes and progress, but rewards you with points that can be spent on a wide range of permanent upgrades. These are split into stat boosts, such as attack, stone gain, and increased chances for better drops, and perks, like increased party size, an automatic hero at the start of a new run, and even automatic hero upgrades. However, the better options are quite expensive, and you will need to idle the game for many hours. You gain one point for every 50 stages and 100 minutes of idle time, meaning you still earn progress even if you cannot beat new stages.
Only Text Idle Loot Game is a deliberately stripped-down idle RPG developed and published by 挂机刷宝工作室, and it fully commits to the idea that progression systems alone can carry an experience without the aid of visuals, animations, or narrative spectacle. Everything the player interacts with is conveyed through text, numerical values, and system feedback, creating a game that feels more like a living spreadsheet than a conventional RPG. Rather than trying to disguise its simplicity, the game embraces it, presenting itself as a pure exercise in automated combat, loot accumulation, and long-term efficiency building. For players who enjoy idle games at their most abstract and mechanical, this focus becomes the title’s greatest strength. The core gameplay loop revolves around automatic battles that continuously generate gold, equipment, and incremental power increases while the player is active or away. Progress happens constantly, with enemies defeated, items dropped, and statistics climbing in the background with minimal direct input. Player interaction mainly comes in the form of choosing upgrades, adjusting skill priorities, and deciding when to reset or advance deeper systems to push overall growth further. Because there are no visuals to distract from the numbers, every small increase in efficiency feels meaningful, and watching damage, income, or loot quality scale upward becomes strangely satisfying. The game captures that classic idle-game pleasure of checking back in after a while and seeing tangible progress that reflects time invested rather than mechanical skill. Character growth is structured around layered progression systems that reward both patience and planning. Early on, advancement is straightforward and frequent, but as the game unfolds, systems begin to overlap and interact, encouraging players to think about long-term optimization rather than short-term gains. Choices about which stats to emphasize or which upgrades to pursue can subtly influence how efficiently the idle loop runs, giving the game a strategic undercurrent beneath its automated surface. While the mechanics themselves are not overly complex, the way they compound over time creates depth, especially for players who enjoy experimenting with builds and pushing numbers to extreme values. The text-only presentation plays a crucial role in shaping the experience. Without art or animation, clarity becomes essential, and most of the game’s interface is built around readable, functional information delivery. This minimalism keeps the experience lightweight and easy to run in the background, making it ideal for multitasking or long idle sessions. However, this same simplicity can also expose rough edges more easily. When an interface option is missing or a system explanation feels unclear, there is nothing else to soften the impact. As a result, some mechanics may feel opaque at first, and certain quality-of-life limitations stand out more than they would in a more visually rich game. Community feedback has highlighted both the appeal and the frustrations of this approach. Players often praise the game for respecting their time and delivering a focused idle experience without unnecessary padding, while also noting areas where systems could be better explained or refined. Inventory handling, reset mechanics, and certain progression features have drawn mixed reactions, particularly when expectations set by descriptions do not perfectly align with how they function in practice. Still, the presence of ongoing updates and patches suggests an active effort to refine balance and usability, reinforcing the sense that this is a living project shaped by its audience. In the end, Only Text Idle Loot Game is a niche title that knows exactly who it is for. It does not try to attract players seeking visual flair, story, or hands-on action, instead offering a calm, almost meditative numbers game built around steady accumulation and long-term growth. For fans of idle and incremental games who enjoy optimization, automation, and the quiet satisfaction of watching systems scale ever upward, it delivers a surprisingly compelling experience. While its minimalist design and rough edges may limit its broader appeal, within its narrow focus it succeeds as a pure, honest exploration of idle progression stripped down to its mathematical core.
