Neon White

I really like this game. It's one of my favs. I like Fast-Paced FPS games, I like platformers, and I like puzzle games. This game blends all three of those very well, and has really good level design that keeps the flow going. The art is very clean, clear, stylish, and not distracting. Some fast-paced FPS games are super overwhelming visually, which i dont like, because its like artificial intensity. This game has an intensity to it, but its all delivered in a very clean way, purely thru its blend of level design and abilities. Even the fact that it places weapons along the path, and they all have some way that modifies your movement in some way is just genius. It's a game that makes me wish there were more games _actually_ like it. There are some games that are obviously inspired by Neon White, but they dont take away what made this game good. People complain about the dialogue, and to be honest, i have no idea about that because i just skip it, and its really easy to do - so if you don't like the story, you have a super easy way to just avoid it. If you're considering buying it, just buy it, because you'll know very quickly if this game is for you and you can get a refund if you dont like it. Don't wait for a sale, its worth the money.

The easiest way for me to describe this game is this - It's Black Ops III Freerun but a whole game that is expanded on with far more mechanics and a greater focus on speed and tons of platforming mixed with Boost Sonic Speedrunning. So basically this game was made for me. Neon White is an absolutely fantastic game that gets going the moment it begins and it doesn't slow down at all. You go from level to level using cards as guns to shoot enemies with these cards also simultaneously having alternative abilities that focus around platforming at the cost of discarding them. A perfect balance and it all just feels so so so good to execute on, especially on first try and succeeding. This game just makes me feel outright good. It's genuinely amazing. Replay value is also 100% here with the grading system akin to Sonic games actively encouraging you to go back and play levels over and over again until you get your equivalent of an S Rank. Level design is also top notch with everything feeling like it just flows and you're part of the flow, nothing was irritating and only sparked the feelings of "again" if I failed at a segment. There's also a nice good chunk of levels too which feels really great as it's almost like it never stops (unfortunately it does). The art style of the areas is also fairly gorgeous. Only gripes with Neon White is that I don't care for the story, completely uninteresting. Thankfully there's a skip button. Also the Voice Acting is appalling and hurts my ears and thankfully there's also an option to turn that off. Yay. So none of this impacts my experience. Go run and use those cards. This game is worthy of being called a gem. [h2]Steam Version[/h2] Not much to say here since I wasn't actively looking for stuff and nothing stood out that broke away from the immersion which is good but from my experience it did just work perfectly fine at a locked 360FPS with up to 110 degrees FoV. It runs and looks perfectly fine although the options menu is a bit sparce but it doesn't seem to be an issue as from a glance at gameplay it hits a locked 60 on Steam Deck. No Mixed Input though so no Gyro support which seems like a huge oversight. [h2]Closing[/h2] Buy it.

so far only 13 hours on the game but its alot of fun if you like movement and shooting. 20 develepor times achieved so far and i will get them all

This game is actually so peak. Each level is extremely satisfying. Once you finish a level, you can min max in order to get a faster time, which also makes it a bit of a puzzle game as you try to figure out shortcuts while speedrunning. Great for perfectionists, speedrunners, and dopamine hits.
