Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.29/day in the week to Aug 23 → 6.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

8.5/10 Neon white is a fantastic game that mixes combines two genres you would never guess could ever mix, first person speedrun game and a visual novel character development game. Honestly if I just went through the game casually and just focused on level completion I would had easily beaten this level sooner, but thanks to my "I need to be the best of my friend group", I spent 5x the amount of time on each level just making sure I got red medals and time that would be annoying to beat. Apart from that, this game is fantastic, and I think with a sequel could easily iron out the blemishes of this game and make a perfect game for its kind. Story Probably the more controversial side of this game, the visual novel aspect. Ok, I get it why a ton of people just ignored this aspect, you are given a fast pace speedrun game that encourages you to do just a bit more optimization to get the better time, just for the other half of the game be a slow paced character drama with other neons or other inhabitants. The main thing that turns people off is the anime dub like voice acting, which is fair. However in my opinion, I enjoyed the story. It is obvious they wanted to mock the early anime dubs with the obvious character archetypes, however once you get through a good portion of the game, they all drop that facade and show their true self and it is a way more interesting plot after that. The game's religious themes alongside forgiveness and the downsides of relying on revenge to move on were pretty interesting to me. White's journey of wanting to regain his memories and learn the truth behind the heaven they currently live in, what happened in his past, and Green were super fun to watch, but of course do not even become a curiosity to later in the game. I think that those who do enjoy the visual novels and stuck around were given a pretty good story to listen to, but those who just skip andy the story cause visual novel bad, kinda missed out on a pretty good story about forgiveness. Characters Easily the focus of the story aspect, the game fools you into thinking all of these characters are just generic classic anime archetypes who only want the best interest for white. However you begin to uncover the truth behind those mask and start to get a pretty interesting, as you start to learn the true goals of all the neons alongside their past life. As white uncovers the truth he begins to change a ton throughout the story, which was a fun watch. Of course they still sound like 2000s anime dub, but if you go in with that expectation and look past that, its still pretty good. My favorite side characters were easily Red, Mikey, and Violet, as they had the most interesting development out of the cast. I do wish they focused more on the cast's regret, which is a good theme of the game, as the only one who really has regret shown fully is White and Red. The visual novel aspect as well was a treat, even if its not ALL voice acted. Of course most of the gift dialogue is just them hanging out, but the real meat and bones of the character developement were the memories, as it shows their past self and how past that mask were genuine family members White could rely on prior. Red's relationship with White was easily my favorite aspect, as at first it just seemed like generic love interest, but turns into a more story about two lovers who have to learn to forgive each other's past. Violet as well had such a fun arc with Green. The only neon that I do wish was more developed was Yellow, as yeah, by the time the mask gets peeled he just... yep. Gameplay Now this is what people talk about when it comes to neon white and yep, its good. Even just going through the levels normally, the game throws a new method of movement every time they know its gotten its use. Easily the best aspect was when you got a new movement weapon that was so good you spend hours learning it just to improve not only cause you want a better time, but because its just so damn fun to use, looking at you rocket launcher. The game does have its annoyance, the guardian was def over relied on throughout the map, causing a ton of sections to be a bit more annoying just cause they were designed with the expectation you slow down and hide behind a wall to avoid them, but luckily this only happens at the late part of the game. Even with that usually you can just kill them prior. There were so many fun techs to use to improve times that the only thing I can think of for improvement for a potential sequel would be a better gravity system, as the game does feel floaty at times and a bit more weight could had made it a ton of fun, even if some aspects, the floatiness works better as well. Its hard to complain about the gameplay, the only issue was that Shockers were not my favorite enemy type at all, and whenever a level relied on them to proceed, I generally didn't enjoy grinding them out. This game nails the fun parts of speedrunning a fast paced game down to a tea. The visual novel aspect as well was a treat to go through, even if its a complete 180 to the base game, I think its a unique blend that not many other games even dared to try, which is what makes indie games so much fun is when they mix genres that shouldn't work, but with enough passion just work like magic. Music Pretty good music, fits the game well and goes with the theme of the chapters. The soundtrack isn't entering my playlist, but going back to songs like Hellion, Rigged Game, green theme and Vainglorious Chorus were songs I could think of. They hit going through each chapter, but I do think more of a blend during chapters like adaptive songs instead of repeating would had helped a ton, but its understandable with how small scale the game was. Last Positive/Nitpicks - Violet Gifts were neck breakers, which fits her so damn well - I wish there were more rocket launcher levels that focused on, well the RL aspect and not the discard ability to hook. I get that the rocket launcher is a high ceiling weapon to use so they focused on hooks, but its a missed opportunity to not just mix in more rocket launcher into the game damn it. - loved the character designs, fits them so much even with their facade gone. Conclusion Neon White is easily a recommended game to go thorugh. Please just do the visual novel aspect and not skip it cause its so worth. I do think if they focus on the amazing aspects of the gameplay and make a more compelling story with actual voice acting in a sequel, this game could enter the masterpiece list so easily. 8.5/10
game sat in my Wishlist for years, I thought it would've been a just a speed run game, but this game very pleasantly surprised me. the maps felt like puzzles i could figure out, unlocking new cards felt fun each time, the characters were amazing, and the way the story was presented kept it engaged throughout the whole game; constantly wanting to seek out more of it. Good Game - shoutout to the beach scene
This game is actually a 12/10 personally for me. Incredible gameplay loop, aesthetic, soundtrack, everything. Each level is at first its own puzzle before becoming one of the thrilling time attack games ever. This game is actually peak.
as a genji player in 2016 this game is very important to me
I like the concept of this game; The cards being used for mobility and combat are pretty neat and the levels look sharp and are satisfying the play. However... After 4 hours I think I've seen everything there is to see. It's a rather repetitive game with trial and error - you'll want to beat each level multiple times (admittedly this takes only a few minutes) to get all the stuff for unlocking side quests and dialogue (if you care about that). The story is clearly written by an anime enthusiast and is certainly lost on me. If this game were a little more open world, with less repetition and similar mechanics I think I'd enjoy it far more (if that's a thing already, please comment and let me know!)
