About
NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD is a “multi-ending ADV” depicting daily life with “OMGkawaiiAngel”, a young girl with a rather extreme need for approval attempting to become the #1 “Internet Angel” (streamer). Gradually build up OMGkawaiiAngel’s number of followers as she spends her days streaming, using various ”stress relievers”, and generally being kinda messed up. Experience all the different crazy ups and downs and find out for yourself whether this story is even capable of having a happy ending.
Turn “Ame” – somewhat of a hot mess of a girl – into an OMGWTF-cute internet angel and jumpstart her career as a live streamer for the most hardcore nerds online!

Ame:
While she may look somewhat low-key and quiet, she’s actually a ridiculously selfish and vapid girl with a tendency to get carried away and a desperate need for approval. She’s, well... kind of troublesome personality. Likes: Her S.O./producer, “P-chan”; psychotropics.
OMGkawaiiAngel:
An “internet angel”. Ame’s alter ego, used while streaming. Pretends to be really nice and sweet. Constantly flirts with nerd types.
P-chan:
Gender, age, and all details are unknown.
Or maybe it's you?
■As Ame’s beloved (???) “P-chan”,
offer daily commentary and guidance to help foster her into a top-tier streamer. Under your direction and guidance, she can amass more and more devoted listeners/obsessed fans, turning her into a super-popular streamer.– and thus allowing you to squeeze stupid amounts of Super Chat out of her donation-happy otaku followers.
■Gotta get topics for streaming!
Let's do all kinds of things from afternoon to evening to find out hot topics for streaming. Sometimes you just need to take a little break because streaming can be stressful. Take Ame on dates, serve her up a little bit of naughtiness once in awhile, provide her with a little something-something to take the edge off when she needs to release some pent-up stress, and use social media to grumble about to help keep her happy and mentally healthy.
But be careful. Depending on your actions, she might increase her "sickness level" and be swallowed by the darkness of the Internet!
*NOTE: This is a perfectly wholesome game, containing absolutely no explicit sexual references or expressions nor illegal substances. For real!
You can see the results of your daily actions and behavior via social media, where Ame-chan will use both public and private accounts to talk about you. People have a tendency to act supportive and friendly on the outside, while talking loads of smack and spreading rumors privately.
■You'll get a variety of messages every day!
Let's reply back to them with stickers. Ignoring messages is not a human thing to do. Don't make her angry.
You’ll sometimes receive long-winded, tedious criticisms and insults, but that’s just par for the course when dealing with a cute girl streaming on the internet. Be sure to take proper care of her.
■The game features multiple endings!
Your streamer will do things like become weird and emo for various reasons, subject her trusty P-chan to harm, and generally get messed up in the head. Begin your adventure and see for yourself whether a happy ending is really even possible for a cute yet disturbed girl on the modern-day internet.

i think the first playthrough will make you react like they intended you to and even make you feel something. but for me, every run after that was a slog and wasnt very fun in gameplay nor was the story nearly as impactful. as someone who also wanted to 100% the game, it felt horrible knowing i would need to play it a lot more... and it was pretty horrible. i did not have fun (i did get 100% tho). if you stop playing when the story starts to lose impact (and before the gameplay frustrates you) then i think youll like this. but if the shock of ame's behaviour wears off then its kinda just frustrating watching her never go anywhere in endings (even if she is shown to be getting "better"). i do think the other reviews talking abt the lack of content warnings were right. there really arent any good content warnings in the game or out of it. the game also broke a lot which kinda sucked. a lot of the time it would just kinda get stuck on a screen and id have to wait for a bit (unintentionally) or restart. additionally, some of the endings would straight up break visually (like the game was supposed to be tilted with red effects but instead everything was normal...) which also didnt help w/ trying to get the intended response from me... all in all this game was fun for like the first 30m-1h. if youre like me and you consider $1=1h of gameplay then its not worth it pricewise unless its on a massive sale (i got it as part of a huge bundle that was on sale lol)
Going into Needy Streamer Overload, for whatever reason I expected a subversive twist on the typical patterns of the genre. Instead, I got a solid if somewhat unremarkable execution of the usual tropes. It's done well, but is predictable and does not feel new. In all honesty, this would have been a lot more appealing to me if I was still an insecure 15 year old, or someone who forms parasocial relationships with celebrities. I suspect those are the prime target audience. For anyone else this will probably be an inoffensive 7/10 cute visual novel. The plot is fun enough. The protagonist is severely mentally ill and probably has BPD, so she really does constantly ask for attention. The dialogue is cringy in a way that feels true to that and intentional: I am certain this terminally online girl and her fans would talk exactly this way. It feels true and honest to this side of the internet. The arstyle compliments that and feels very cute, and audio design evokes very strong feelings depending on each situation. Sadly, the game becomes repetitive too soon, so you most likely won't be able to enjoy all the game has to offer in those aspects. Not only that, but the Flatline ending can happen without you noticing you even ignored a text, and reloading is equally repetitive. The endings I did were good, but I was never sure what the requirements were for each, and I eventually got burnt out due to the repetition. The UI does not help at all with this, as it is too cluttered and you can miss visual hints or notifications as a result. Overall, replayability is not as great as it could be. Still, it's a good game with a cute mentally ill streamer trying her best not to completely collapse. It's occasionally funny and I spent most of my playtime on this having fun, so overall, I recommend trying it out despite its shortcomings.
If I'm gonna be honest, I've never played a game like this before. But you know what, I really enjoy it. To some extent it kinda reminds me of the streamer, iShowSpeed. This is because majority of the game she does streams that can risk making her insane, depressed, or the streams are sexual. So I would recommend it for anyone that wants to experience a iShowSpeed stream, but instead your the one controlling what is happening and what will happen. I would also recommend this game for people who enjoy classic visual novels as this is very different from a normal visual novel. Overall, if you like being in control of the game, DDLC, streamers, downfall of people, visual novels, and TikTok media, then I would recommend buying this game. It's a bit overwhelming for people to want to start reading visual novels. I would recommend this game maybe after reading 1-2 visual novels instead of it being someone's first. This is because there are 33 endings to this game I believe, and some are hard to obtain and some aren't. But it really depends on the person playing the game. Furthermore, the game is just overstimulating from time to time, and it can get repetitive for the majority. But if your not a loser and want to 100 the game, then go for it. I personally enjoy the game as it actually made sure that my choices do matter. I like how it impacted her stats drastically, but there are also other ways to improve those stats. Not only that but the game combines mental health, stress, and love to show moments that could be considered unrealistic but also moments that are true for many famous streamers. The fact that the true theme hides behind a facade of pink, colorful, and cutesyness environment is what gets to me since this is a very true thing. Overall I really enjoy this game and I recommend it so much to anyone else that enjoys visual novels as much as I do and is looking to expand their taste. Also, there was recently an anime released for this game. I didn't really enjoy it as much since it strayed off from Ame and Kangel story and it talked about Jirai Girl's struggles and how others perceive them as delinquents rather than normal children that expresses themselves through their clothing and fashion choices. I do like the idea that the anime brought awareness to another struggle, just like how they brought awareness about mental health in the actual game.

very peak
