I enjoyed NFS Heat more than this one, but it's honestly not that big of a difference in gameplay. I am a big fan of the artsy effects and such, and also really enjoy the graphics in general. The whole week with day/night system was a big change from Heat, which I had to get used to. Once I got to know the system more, I did enjoy it. The multiplayer has a lot more replayability, a lot more races, and a lot of different gamemodes. A huge upgrade compared to NFS Heat. Although NFS Heat will always be my fav, I do still recommend NFS Unbound when it's on sale. I will likely reach about 100 hours before I had enough of it :P.

There are way too many unnecessary police chases, which makes the story mode get old pretty quickly. The race tracks don't feel very varied, and the police presence is way over the top. The handling also feels off, and the drifting physics can completely ruin the experience.
