A necromancer simulator. Assemble the dead using different body parts while upgrading your tower, combine the abilities of the different fantastic races to fight your way through the hordes of enemies and overrun the ’chosen ones’. To tell the truth, the dead are pretty, uhm, dumb.

Fun tower defense game where you create your own monsters to fight for you! I started with the second game which I got randomly in a bundle and liked it so much I decided to try this one out too. I will say at first I was a little irritated with the ai and how grindy the game felt but I'm glad I stuck with it. Once you get a few upgrades the game evens out and becomes a lot of fun. I would recommend upgrading the assembly line and cat house first. This helped me the most. I got this game on sale for under a dollar and got many hours of playtime out of it. Even at full price the game is worth it for people who enjoy tower defense.
As a caution before this review, I'd say that the game has an issue with balance. It kind of follows the Bullet Heaven mechanic of a boss timer that, if not prepared accordingly, would kill you in the spot and prevent your progression through the game. This wouldn't be a dealbreaker if not for the fact that the enemies it spawns are near the endgame, so unless you really have gone through the meta progression, you'll get stone walled from prepping for the final push. As well, that meta progression jumps from barely tangible to absolutely vital and outright game breaking, with the upgrade that allows you starting monster parts per day being out and out the only truly viable option apart from the Cat and the Blueprint. That said, I like the game for the music (the two that it uses, at least), its use of monster parts to create your own insane combination of weapons and abilities, and I like some of the secret combinations that aid you in traversing in the land; the diversity of different genres help make it stand out from other contemporaries. Hopefully this is a decent start to the series, and hopefully the sequel available now would aid in the pain points I listed here.

Create weird creatures out of dead body parts? Yes!
