Mystic RUS-files is an asset/template flip made with the godawful Raycasting Game Maker engine used to generate cheap ripoffs of Wolfenstein 3D. Gameplay consists of simple single plane FPS shooting sprite based enemies on small 2D levels, just like Wolf3D. The Raycasting Game Maker engine is garbage. It has oversensitive mouse settings, so if you use the mouse to steer, you will just flip around endlessly with zero control. However, you must use the mouse to shoot, so the game is effectively unplayable. This is no different from any other game made with this engine. It's garbage. Also, like every other Raycasting Game Maker asset flip, resolution and controls are locked and can't be changed, and the graphics horrible, low resolution "pixel" trash. It's pure trash. I used to think things like GameMaker Studio and RPG Maker were the worse game construction kits for allowing talentless "developers" to make "games". Actually, they still are, no matter how bad or unplayable this trash is. Regardless, you can play Wolf3D for free, and it's better than this. Mystic RUS-files has an overly optimistic price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the construction kit copy+paste nature of the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.

Puh, ein Stückchen weit bin ich geehrt die erste Review von Mystic RUS-files zu verfassen. Ich erhielt dieses kreative Produkt aus einem Game-Key Adventskalender. Das ist aber schon ein paar Jahre her. Gut so. Wenn ich es direkt da gespielt hätte, wäre Weihnachten aber echt gelaufen gewesen. Es handelt sich um einen klassischen DOOM Klon. Aber leider kein guter. Die Nahkampfwaffe ist irgendeine Hand, als Pistole dient eine Kamera, usw. Das größte Kriterium, was ich habe ist die Hitbox. Und meine Fresse ist die kacke. Ab und an stehen Objekte wie Bäume in der Gegen herum und wenn sich ein Gegner auch nur annähernd im Umkreis eines solchen Objektes befindet, ist dieser unsterblich. Klasse Design, ich muss also erstmal an den Gegner heran, um Schaden zu nehmen, damit dieser Schaden nehmen kann. Grafik ist halt DOOM, Sound geht. Musik von HateBit, Eigenlob stinkt. Probiers bei der BILD Zeitung. Leider gefällt mir auch die Gegnerverteilung nicht. Ständig dreht man sich um nach ihnen Ausschau zu halten und auch wenn niemand sichtbar ist und man weitergeht, dann kommen aus dem Nichts 50 Gegner und plüschen einen nieder. Ne, danke. Also wie gesagt ich fühle mich geehrt, aber bin auch etwas beschämt. Rückblickend verständlich, dass ein 3 Jahre altes Spiel keine Aufmerksamkeit bekommt, wenn der Inhalt einfach nicht gut ist. Müsst ihr wissen.

Mystic indeed. I was gifted this game and didn't know what to expect. Turns out I wasn't ready. Killing aliens with a wand. Hurting ghosts with a projectile-launching camera. Russia sure has it's share of weird experiments. I dig the whole weird mystic vibe of the game, but in all honesty the game felt a bit too hard on me for the first few tries. For a game reminiscent of Wolfenstein 3d and Doom, I did a lot of wallhugging and cover shooting instead of running and gunning. Managed to get through Episode 1, but don't ask me how. You will never be this happy to see a portal, only to get your ass kicked in the next level. There's a slight use of jumpscare in the game, but nothing too crazy. Just be ready for enemies to creep up on you. By the time I started shooting green plasma balls out of a statue and enemies I couldn't even see rendered shot and killed me from the dark, I knew my time was up. In mother Russia, videogame plays you.

worth every second! definitely a 60 cent game

It's a rather generic DukeNukemish shooter with very simple mechanics - you have several weapons, one ammo type and two power ups - +20 health, +20 ammo. There are some "paranormal pulp enemies" like aliens, ghosts that shoot fireballs (?), some mexican semi-invisible creature that's such a pain and some more. Nothing too special, though it's fast, it's fun (at least for me), I enjoyed it. Level design is mostly OK for such a game, there is a haunted city, a different dimension, an alien spaceship and some more levels, all linear.
