My Tribe

My Tribe was my favorite childhood game, though I didn’t quite understand it back then. Revisiting it now, it’s much easier than I remember, now that I actually understand how to gather resources, build structures, and care for my tribe. A cute, relaxing game perfect for unwinding.

I used to play the Facebook version when I was younger, which I enjoyed, but this version functions differently, and from my experience playing, the islanders age *way* too fast while you're gone, and die off very quickly, which I never had trouble with in the other version. Unfortunately I couldn't refund it because despite not being able to play much at a time, I'd played for 11 hours - the issue of the islanders aging too quickly, even despite being on the "slow" time setting, only became obvious to me after more than Steam's usual allowance of 2 "free" hours playing. In my opinion, a waste of money, a sad twist on my nostalgia and super disappointing.

I played this way back when on wild tanget games on a hp laptop. Then on facebook in that gold era of facebook games and it had daily events to get extra stuff. This steam version doesnt have any of the facebook stuff but also doesnt have any micro transactions, so give n take. Still one of the better sim managment games I've played growing up.

a lot of islands in this game

I remember playing this when I was young. Now, I see that you can pause this game in the settings so your people don’t age when you’re somewhere etc. I usually unpause and make it fast so I can see progress quickly when I’m playing. It’s a simple good game. Hopefully, it gets updated like the Facebook one in the past which seems more updated than this one.

I use to play this game years ago, loved it then and still do now, somethings are different, but its better as you dont have to rely on friends to help you.
