I have enjoyed this game so much. I have not locked into a game like this in so long.
It took some getting used to after playing Portia. It has some elements I love such as no more dash endurance, but also some that are not so great such as they changed the controls and it took a while to rewire the muscle memory. Overall it's a great game, and I'm enjoying these chill, slow games that Pathea are making.
Overall I liked the game. It was a solid improvement over My Time At Portia. There was so much content to go through! It took me almost 160 hours to go through most of it. I didn't complete some of it because of how long it would seem to take to level up enough. The Pet DLC definitely makes the game even easier with being being able to constantly have 10 pets out collecting materials and water. My main complaint about the game would be the the large number of items and difficulty in managing them. You could have items in random chests and turn them in with quests, but not so with gift giving. Then for item upgrading, they'd pull from random chests. With the insane number of possible items, it made finding things a little difficult. At one point I found it easier just to install a mod that made all the sorting alphabetical because at least then I could just find the item I want that way. Hopefully better filtering for items is done in My Time At Evershine. Most minor annoyances I hope get taken care of in Evershine are related to quests. Had some conflicting events not all handled correctly. For example, the Halloween Ghost event I missed in year 1 because I had a timed quest to follow either Mi-an or Elsie (can't remember which). Other quest annoyances were unlisted time constraints that you failed because it never said you had x amount of time to complete it. Even had one quest I failed it because I couldn't create the items fast enough with a single machine in the listed time constraint it had. If you are new to the series either play Portia first and then this game, but if you played this game first, you may find yourself disappointed by Portia.
Having plenty of fun, the multiplayer and singleplayer are incredibly distinct which I see as a huge plus!
First up, this is a long game. My 100 hours was a single playthrough, and I was very objective focused. The gameplay consists of harvesting a wide variety of resources, using those materials to build machines, then using the refined materials out of those machines to create one-off buildings around town to progress the story. It doesn't take long to feel a sense of ownership of the town, as you ride your horse over the bridge you painstakingly built 20 hours ago. There's also a variety of colourful characters in the town, each with their own mini story arcs. This creates a lot of side missions from repairing shop signs to creating a rollercoaster. The time spent with the characters, learning their struggles and helping them improve their lives, gives a unique sense of community. These characters also feel much more alive than most games, always doing something. It is normal to run into a group having dinner at the pub, staging a small concert, or attending church. On the downside, combat is very shallow, mostly just requiring button mashing. You can also expect to spend a lot of time walking around the town talking to folks and handing in quests. I spent far too long playing before getting a horse. Overall I had a fun time. The cozy vibe and community made for a relaxing and rewarding experience. Just make sure you have the time to sink into this one or stay well away.
One of my go to games to relax

MUITO bom!
