My life as an Archeologist is a nice dungeon runner game that should have no business to be as addictive as it turned out. Yet, you keep going for a "New run" and then not pausing even when you really should be doing something else. Story is almost non-existing but music is serviceable. As are the graphics which remind me of the pixelated style of some of the EightyEightGames' games or Luck be a landlord but are more detailed here. The game does not have a lot of controls (it supports manual or automatic clicking to deal damage, plus you have a few items with cooldown to affect battles) but is rather about "the build"(tm), i.e. running dungeons is largely about which loot to equip, where to spend skill points, which boons to take from bosses and which random events to allow in order to manage a complete run. If this does not sound interesting maybe stay away, but again, this game should not prove so heavily engaging - but it is. + Nice graphics + Varied music + Optional auto-running 0 Addictive - No index of artefacts/boons I think, the game should have an index of artefacts/boons to allow planning for an interesting build even if the game's randomness will not make it easy to bring that together. I like the research idea where you have to defeat each type of enemy a certain number of times to get access to an upgrade. My life as an Archeologist has a fair price and the game's strange longevity allows for a recommendation.
I won with a turtle firing a cannon from it's back. highly recommend
