A few amount of greatly cute anime artwork. Heroine full-voiced. Indirect lewd scene. A bit higher price. [18+] 兄の元妻との短編。絵は可愛い。H直接表現はなし。セール時にでも。
Went into it without the highest of expectations, but this is actually a pretty cute VN. It's short and sweet (I think it took me about 40 mins to read the whole thing), but sometimes you want to read something short and fluffy to pass the time. Given the quality of the artwork and the backgrounds, and the OST (seriously, the music for this is very pretty and soothing), I think it's well worth the £3 price tag. In fact, given there is quite a lot of art for such a short project, I feel a little like I'm ripping the devs off for picking it up so cheaply orz The story's nothing groundbreaking, but Shouko is very cute, and it's nice to read a romance VN where the characters aren't teenagers for a change. I want more cute BxG VNs which aren't set in high schools: I feel like there aren't many of them out on the market... The writing is functional and it's fine. Since the story's short, the relationship builds quite quickly, but as the two characters have a history, it feels believable enough. I noticed a few issues (there's the odd typo here and there, and i spotted a few occasions where the text spilled out of the textbox), but it's nothing gamebreaking. Oh, and as a misc aside, I really like the UI for this. It looks kind of dated, but in a charming way. it reminds me of older VNs from like, 2010 or so. Anyway! If you have some extra cash lying around and you want a short, cute experience, this is an easy recommend. It's pretty polished for such a short story, and it deserves a lil bit more attention!

Novela visual muy corta, no tiene cromos, ni cuenta como juego platinado, y la historia roza lo mediocre.
What is My Ex Sister in Law?
My Ex Sister in Law is a fluff romance h-ish visual novel (more on this later). It was fine, taking ~50 minutes to do both endings. You can save on the options screen to try either ending. Only one of the two options results in either one of the, well, two endings: the normal ending and the true ending. Truth be told the visual novel left much to be desired.
The characters
If you're familiar with fluff romance type anime/manga/media, then you'll have a rough idea of what the characters are like. If you want a basic rundown of the characters: the male lead had a crush on the female lead for many years and is a h*rny plank of pulp paper who (I assume) is intended as a self-insert, while the female lead is the "kawaii/'grownup-yet-klutzy' onee-san"-type character.
The...transitions
If you ever used Windows movie maker, you'll get a rough idea of what the transitions are like lol. They're different every time and are very strange (like the squiggles one). It would've been better to settle on a few and keeping consistent rather than going with different ones throughout the ~50 minute runtime.
The CGs
They're okay. Nothing to really write home about. The only real nice one was for the female lead in the beginning of the story. The rest are okay at best, lacking and unmemorable at worst.
Stills and environments
The female lead stills are okay; however, her design is a bit too generic, making it unmemorable in my opinion. The background environments do look nice though.
The dialog
The dialog itself was fine, but did not appear to be proofread. There was off punctuation or a lack thereof at times, not to mention an instance of a word repeated twice
("Above above")
. While on the topic of the dialog, let's discuss...
The voice acting
It was fine. Not the best but not the worst. It's an unexpected surprise to have an English voice actor read out for the female lead, but it felt like at times there was no direction given for how to deliver the lines given to them. Regardless of what some reviews may say, the male lead was mute and the female lead was NOT fully voiced. Sometimes when the dialog box was in the center of the screen with red text (indicating that the sister-in-law was speaking) the audio file for that line did not play. Despite having the sound for voice at max, the female lead was still very quiet and hard to understand at times.
The (two) endings
The visual novel could've done without the r18+ section in the true ending (and h*rny bits throughout the visual novel) in my opinion. It didn't seem necessary, and in case you're wondering about it
it's with partial n*dity. The female lead is unclothed at one point but nothing graphic is shown on screen
. Speaking of the endings, let's discuss...
The (two) endings (continued)
The only two endings. The biggest issue with them is that the "normal" ending seemed rushed
(the two said their goodbyes, the main character moved to Korea with his brother and he lived happily-ever-after with a new wife, never associating with the female lead ever again)
, and the "true" ending seemed to drag on a bit due to the aforementioned r18+ section (then again I don't normally read hnovels nor expected this to turn into one, so what do I know?) The beginning of the visual novel throws you straight into the meat of the story,
where the main character finds their house destroyed in the landslide
. Neither ending is satisfying and left much to be desired in my opinion.
In conclusion
If you're looking for a super short fluff romance visual novel with s*xual content, I guess this is fine? Otherwise, I do not recommend it. I hope the developers keep these criticisms noted and improve in their next visual novel if they decide to work on another one. Thanks for checking out my review. Peace.
Game doesnt last very long i beat it in 45 min
So your brother’s former wife offers you a place to stay after you lose your place in a landslide. Feelings begin to stir. Based on one choice, will they erupt?
fully voiced by dtl 100/10
Rekommenderar denna VN. Den får 5 Lägereldar..
While it's a little short and the game play aspect consists of roughly two choices, It has some nice artwork and is voice acted by the ever wonderful DTL, just don't expect fully nude scenes. Recommended if you have some spare change on hand and half an hour or so to kill.
