Nice game. Very different from the Back-Series, but has a intense story.
I liked it, it's linear don't expect choices, since main characters communicate through sign language, to progress through the story in some scenes player have to finish the puzzle that use sign language symbols, with English translation some players can find slight difficulty to finish the puzzle but it can be done but may take some time, game length is basically similar to a film runtime, but time taken to finish the game depends on solving the puzzles. If player enjoys games from this publisher definitely pick it, if into games like The Bunker check it out. For me the presentation of the story was interesting, happy with translation but feel it can be improved for better experience.
After beginning with games that followed events from a first-person perspective, the developers shifted toward more cinematic titles where you act as an invisible observer, watching the story unfold without influencing it. Recently, their focus has moved even closer to real life. The situations may not be flashy, but they tell meaningful stories. In this game, you follow a young couple, a boy who cannot speak and a girl who cannot hear. The opening scene is dramatic. The boy comes home to find the girl tied to a chair. As he tries to rescue her, someone attacks him from behind and strikes him with a hammer. From there, the story moves across several timelines. It shows how the pair met, what led to the dramatic situation, and what is happening in the present during the attack. One of the main threads involves a boy who hears a fight somewhere in the apartment building, though the voices may actually be echoes of a murder that once took place in the same apartment. The story takes a couple of hours to finish, but the presentation is pretty nice. Most of the visuals are in black and white, with color used only sparingly for dramatic emphasis. Because there is very little dialogue, music plays a major role, especially since the boy loves listening to it. Compared to the developer’s previous games, which focused on mystery and collecting clues, this one centers on sign language. At several points, you must choose between different dialogue options. Only one choice is correct and triggers a sign language mini game, while the others simply display a red cross. As a result, you cannot truly fail. You also cannot lose the sign language mini game itself. You arrange a series of hand gestures in the correct order to form a sentence. After placing them, you press a button to check your answer. Incorrect gestures are marked with a red cross, while correct ones are grayed out. The biggest issue, which is common in many similar games from the Asian market, is poor translation. It is less noticeable here because the main characters do not speak, but its quality becomes clear in a scene where English dialogue plays on a television and the subtitles do not match at all. Because of this, the sign gestures and sentences do not always make sense. Even though translations appear beneath the gestures, the only reliable approach is to test each gesture in every slot. A quicker method is to place the same gesture in all slots to see where it fits, then repeat the process with the remaining ones. However, this becomes time consuming, especially since each new event adds more gestures to the existing set. In any case, the story is engaging enough to justify a single playthrough, and the ending reveals why you’ve been hearing things. There are no alternate endings or extra rewards, and the only additional content available is the option to replay the scenes you have already unlocked.
