MURI

The game has a few situations where the background visuals resemble Duke Nukem 1, but overall the feel of the game is completely different. The story especially is quite strange and it could not be more far removed from any Duke Nukem game. But the gameplay is quite good and ultimately this is an okay game. Whether you want to pay the full price for such a short game is another story. My experience with MS-DOS games from my childhood mainly consists of the later era titles where you could save the game when you liked. I tended to dislike the older DOS games with no ability to save. You cannot save your game in MURI. However, the four episodes each are very short so this is not a big problem. MURI has the feel of the older DOS titles, which I personally dislike. I am not a fan of the limited color palette either. However, if you liked the older DOS titles then this game is definitely for you.

A fun and very interesting example of level design. Try the demo! (There are things I'd change about the difficulty scaling, since health and life pickups appear to be core mechanics. Also, the MKV should do as much straight-forward damage as the Rapid. But the art is quite pretty, and the plot has been interesting so far, and I really do like how you automatically equip the best weapon you have ammo for.)

An absolute blast! I've had this sitting in my library for almost a decade, got it shortly after release, but never got around to playing it. finally decided to sit down and play it and wish I had sooner. I'm a huge fan of dos style games and this one feels so authentic! An absolute blast if you like these kind of games, 100% worth it!

just beat MURI a really good dos like run and gun plataform game i like how they went to easy to old shcool in the difficulty settings is nice for people who just want a casual gameplay it feelt quite anime too xD it would make a good tv show xD

LOVE this game!!! Absolutely scratches that OG Duke Nukem itch. Lots of fun. My only qualms were that it was quite short, wish it were about a third or so longer. But if you're a fan of old EGA platformers, I HIGHLY recommend this one!
