Diluvian Ultra is a single-player, first-person shooter focusing on a retro aesthetic and fast-paced, strategic combat. The game is set in its own expansive fictive universe. Rather than gritty or dark, Diluvian Ultra is colorful and fantastical, like the cover of pulp sci-fi novels of the past.

About
Become the immortal warrior-prince Atilla, awakened after millenia in deep space by an impudent invasion of your tomb-ship. Pick up your blood-sword and investigate - are these intruders the old enemies from your past, or as yet unknown foes to conquer? No matter, they have rooted themselves into the ship and defiled all that is sacred to you with their foul presence. It is time to drive them out into the void and save your people.
Awaken prince, and carve a red ruin!
Diluvian Ultra: Chapter One includes 10 levels + a hub, 6 different weapons with 30 different upgrades and 13 enemy types.
Further chapters continuing Atilla’s story as well as expanding his arsenal and the roster of enemies to obliterate will be released as paid DLCs at a future date.
Diluvian Ultra’s combat is built around a dual-damage system where you have to combine weapons to be effective. Armour absorbs damage, but some weapons are designed to quickly strip it off your targets - unable to kill them, but exposing them for a single lethal blow. You have to be careful though, as enemies will mix their attacks in the same way. Collect and consume blood to upgrade your weapons and pick up various power-ups at the opportune moment, to become vengeance incarnate - if only for a while!
Surviving in Diluvian Ultra is all about mobility. Dodge enemy fire while you chain together ranged attacks with close combat blows and devastating ground slams. Double-jump, dash, find cover and even deflect projectiles with your sword, but never stay in one place for too long!
Your spaceship home is a living combination of flesh and stone, and so it is with your arsenal of weapons; use both traditional Tech weapons as well as grotesque, living Organic armaments, and don’t forget to take good care of your closest companion, your sentient Squire Gun, Bella.
Diluvian Ultra may be an over the top retro FPS filled with frenetic action, but all that carnage is set on a background of an epic, tragic story tackling the themes of fanaticism, trauma, betrayal and hope for redemption, playing out in neo-gothic architectural set pieces and immense, cathedral-like spaceships.

Actually a very fun game. It's too bad that my save has none of the weapons that I collected, and is effectively bricked. Looking at the other reviews this seems to be a common issue. Super unfortunate.
I like the game, but there's a bug that took away all your weapons and the game just can't progress. Turns out it's a bug for years and the dev still didn't fix it
I don't currently recommend this (5/18/26), but it has a lot of potential if it gets more polished. The good: The music / sound design is great. The graphics are dope in their own way. The vibes are there. The bad: I had to restart levels a lot from bosses becoming bugged. The first boss vanished 3 times. The 4th time I deduced that any weapon that has any knockback factor could be what was causing the issue and was able to kill it. The next boss (that shows up in a couple levels) had a similar issue where he'd just sit there with no health after dying. This would prevent progress and require restarting also. Long story short, you can't kill him while he's in a melee animation or it prevents the death animation. Controller worked but there was an odd choice to have the controller be a mouse cursor in menus and it's agony. It's either way too sensitive or not sensitive enough depending on what you're doing. Difficulty is also very odd. I've never had a game lie so hard about calling a difficulty "Very Easy". Very Easy in this is like Normal or Hard for most other games.
Jogaço ! bem fluido, grafico bom, dificuldade bacana, não te deixa perdido na fase igual 1 primata cego.
Solid new-Doom style FPS with a very interesting set of characters and lore (very Warhammer-ish), and a slightly unusual take on the usual tropes of the genre. I don't get why people complain about the short length since the game is priced accordingly (IMO at least!). I'm pretty sure the "Chapter One" subtitle was added near release date, it wasn't there when the game was announced, maybe that's what got some people off. Still no further info about the following 2 chapters, but what's on offer here is very good and is gonna keep you well entertained for a little. I experienced a few bugs/issues along the way: *As many others already reported, sometimes the game won't carry your weapons to the save-state when you quit and start another session, pretty much soft-locking you. It only happened to me ONCE and I fixed it by simply hitting "restart level". Thankfully I was at the start of said level. Then when loading from mid-level saves, I had zero problems whatsoever. *A strange quirk when switching from the ChainGun to the SquireGun. I don't know if you have to wait until the firing animation to be done before it can even register your input or whatever it is, but it can mess-up your timing in battle a little bit, particularly with all the constant switching this game is based upon. No other weapon has this issue, and it shouldn't behave this way... but you can get used to it though, just a little muscle-memory thingy. *On certain elevator on the last level, don't do what I did and don't hit the "go up" and "go down" buttons at the same time because you'll bug it and soft-lock yourself lol I guess is not idiot-proof, fair enough. Doing a bit of research on the web, i discovered this game was supposed to launch in 2021, but it got pushed to 2023. I imagine development might have been as "on-and-off" as it gets, so I hope we'll still get the other 2 chapters eventually, specially considering how good the last 4-or-so levels were and the
cliffhanger
ending. Thanks for listening to my Ted talk.
If you want a prime example of bad game design look no further, I haven't been more mad playing a game before. If you like being experimented on how much of awful game design decisions a human can take at once you'll enjoy this. Not only that every music piece in this game for some reason has a very loud constantly playing singular note sub bass which will force you to turn off the music right after your first few minutes of playing. Also most of the sound effects sound incredibly ear piercing, maybe I just got irritated after the music but I think the devs just have bad hearing and don't care about yours too
cool style and attempt at a story. It's unfinished though and unfortunately the gameplay doesn't feel great. It feels both too tight, and too loose at the same time while having no feedback for anything. This isn't helped by how cramped all the environments are that makes it feel like you don't have room to fight, let alone mess around with the dashes and stomps, of which take wind up time. There's a lot to like but when your core gameplay loop doesn't feel good and also makes me feel blind, I don't really want to keep playing.
Its just not good
