Deserves much more credit than it will get. A short but memorable adventure. Every environment is unique, enemies are versatile, the bosses are distinguishable from one another, the the plot being simple but captivating due to the art-style and soundtrack. Much recommended for indie fans.
I can't say for certain whether this is a good game or not. I played for a while and noticed that it's a tad unpolished when it comes to some of the attacks, but that's not a terrible thing. I didn't notice any serious problems, other than the HUD where my health and magic was flashing blue and Mulaka himself was glowing blue for a good half an hour with no indication as to why or what I was supposed to do about it. The only reason I stopped playing was due to my arachnophobia. I was just about able to handle the small scorpion enemies, but the first boss being a giant scorpion was too much for me. If you have arachnophobia, you should probably give this a miss, otherwise, it's cheap and it's got some pretty nice art for cutscenes and the gameplay probably gets more interesting after the first area. I wish Steam wouldn't force us to choose whether we recommend games or not, since I don't want the game to have bad reviews for something like this, but oh well.
Good, short game. Pretty basic plot and gameplay, but it's entertaining and I'm always happy to see more Indigenous content out there. Feels kind of like an early PlayStation game. Always a fan of humorous achievements too. Basically a combat heavy semi-platformer with collectibles and ability unlocks. The collectibles teach you about the Tarahumara culture. There are some puzzles, but nothing too complicated. The combat's not too difficult either - can be challenging, but I'd say it's an average difficulty. The combat's also generally restricted to fighting rings placed around the map so you're always prepared for it.
