Muffles' Life Sentence

I really LOVE this game!! The artstyle is very intriguing, characters are cool and lovable, the story and sounds are so good too, it was so much fun to explore everything! First chapter made me obsessed fast and i played rest of it not long after... and oh, what a nice experience it was! I hope more people will find this gem and give it all the love and attention it deserves

Cheeky little RPG game about the prison industrial complex and how it strips people of their individuality and identity. A good 20 or so hours of playtime, each chapter lasting 3-4 hours. A lot of that time is spent doing puzzles and searching for collectibles and whatnot. PROS: Decent music Unique, good art direction Likeable characters Decent worldbuilding and story Lots of achievements and collectibles if you're into that Exploration with unique abilities CONS: Combat is repetitive and easy, deckbuulder aspect is pretty meh, most new cards you get are kind of there for novelty and the game heavily relies on the guard mechanic, which makes most cards kind of obsolete. The most difficulty you'll see is fighting Nightmares and the last two episodes but still not much to speak of Lots of flashing lights and effects, as far as I looked there's no way to really turn this off and they're pretty eye straining, if you're photosensitive this game might not be good for you Really easy puzzles Overall, good game. Solid 8-9/10, in my opinion. Just don't expect a lot of strategy and difficulty in the gameplay.

Минусы: медленные бои — некоторые сражения затягиваются из‑за большого запаса HP у врагов; эпизодический формат — игра выходит частями, что может не устроить желающих пройти историю целиком сразу; специфическая стилистика — мрачноватая эстетика и гротескные образы подойдут не всем игрокам. Итог: игра привлечёт любителей нестандартных RPG и карточных стратегий — она предлагает необычный мир, запоминающихся персонажей и оригинальную механику с «масками». Подойдёт ценителям чёрного юмора, абсурдных сюжетов и пошаговых тактических боёв. Может не устроить ищущих светлый визуальный стиль, быстрый темп сражений или полностью завершённую историю без ожидания эпизодов.

An rpg with weird and fun characters, visuals, and mechanics! I didn't know what to expect when I started playing but I was really blown away. The characters are written and illustrated really well, and the mix of comedy and tragedy makes for a fun game that still takes itself seriously. The first chapters even free!
