Updating this for August 2025. This is arguably still the most fun movie making experience in a game. It's simple step by step process is less frustrating than other games that try to be too clever and make a boring or linear story that is the same boring grind if you want to start again. This game allows you to make the movie you want. Positives - This game lets you make the movie you want in a basic form and make a whole series of films one after another including basic B movies that can show good profit with minimal work and when the time is right you can commit some enormous sums into a Roman Epic. Negatives - You need to be able to make more real life actors/actresses to use in the productions. The final part around marketing and releasing needs some guidance to make it more effective. More aspects around an actors suitability would create some added challenge in getting the right actor for a role. Females that wouldn't do nude scenes, male actors refusing to do risky basic stunts etc. A little investment of time from the Devs could add the final polish to this game, add long term playability and give this game the final fun element it's missing at the moment. I actually really enjoyed this game. It pretty much does what it says on the tin and is very playable. I found that with simple common sense it all fits together quite nicely. I had to re-visit the introduction because the marketing needed some better understanding. I felt that this game actually required a little more simple depth such as the ability to form a more specific type of movie to be made, create relationships with directors/producers and actors. Also pay to keep actors on a retainer to stop your stars being taken by other studios. I thought that it needed some kind of content editor to allow you to develop new stars from the real world into your own movies. It would've also been good to have access to amateurs and develop them through your studio as 'extras' and take them into starring roles. If the developers are thinking of taking this game to a new level i'd not only be happy to test it for them but also help them develop it to ensure it's the best game they can produce for sale.

i wasted my money on this worst mistake of my life
Overall: 0/10

Random game key: 47/152
What the actual ♥♥♥♥ is this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?
try figure out the game it not worth money
Proof that sequels are worse than the original
Super confusing with no real direction
For what this game is, its alright. I would have still liked it if the original The Movies were here but whatever. the reason I'm giving a thumbs down is because of THE OVER USE OF MOVIE PROBLEMS! You cant go four seconds without oone of those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ popping up. It gets really annoying and it takes your film atleast three years to get released!
This game is so bad, it is just astonishing someone could make such trash. It is a bafflingly poor management sim that fails to justify its own existence as a "sequel," feeling more like a dated, functional step backward for the tycoon genre. The game has atrocious user interface, which is plagued by unwieldy, complicated UI that requires excessive clicking and scrolling just to perform basic tasks. Simple quality-of-life features—such as basic filters for sorting actor abilities or a persistent sidebar for tracking current productions—are completely absent. The gameplay is an exercise in frustration rather than strategy. The "sequel" in question is moniker is particularly insulting as it reuses many of the same flaws and mechanical shortcomings present in the original game from over a decade ago. The game lacks a manual save function, a standard feature for decades, meaning a single late-game mistake or crash can wipe out hours of progress. Even after so many years, the game remains riddled with bugs, such as UI tooltips that cover up the options they are meant to explain and broken menu buttons that force players to reload saves to continue. I also heard that they updated the graphics, the result is a cluttered look that pales in comparison to classics like "The Movies", and the game still struggles with modern screen resolutions.
