Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my initial impressions review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/NHkO_KMwnmg Mount Wingsuit 2 VR is an improvement over the original in every way. It's more approachable & every bit of the challenge as the original one as well. There's lots of content with 21 maps and lots of things to unlock & discover. There's also online pvp & coop multiplayer. It's also a nice workout. The basic stuff is pretty simple. You can usually go through the basic courses without too much trouble. The more time you put into it, the easier they will seem. That's when you can start going for the challenges & doing some of the tricks, searching for the perfect run. There's a lot of exit jumps to try and lots of gear to unlock. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, on the highest graphical settings, at 1.2 resolution scale, I was getting a steady 90 fps. I did not experience any serious issues or bugs. Overall, this game is a blast to play. I would have played it longer, but I was starting to sweat up a storm (you do need to raise your arms for better control, although you can slightly cheat that mechanic by bringing your arms in a bit). About the only complaint I have so far is this game needs more players. Also, the UI could be much better. I would also love to be able to listen to my own music from within the game versus the default in-game music. Rate ?/10. Leaning towards an 8. This game is a blast to play.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. A truly fun and amazing game/experience to enjoy in Virtual Reality I played this testing it since the demo and the game rocks on many levels of awesomeness First of all the game it is full of content, the player can unlock different stages (Jump points locations) and each stage contains different stunts that can be completed but also each has 2 paths to fly through the entire stage. Each with 2 levels of difficulty based on the precision to fly them. The visual of the locations were improved a lot from the first game, I think these can still be improved over time but the team had made several key changes that make some incredible moments when flying, like going on very narrow edges on mountains or reaching a small gap window to go throug. Some stunts can pull you some smiles and some others will make your adrenaline go over 9000. Flying is based on putting the arms in a centered position in the initial jump. This is important because the rest of the flight is based on THAT centered position. There is an option that was added that the game will remember that centered position and you won't need to do it for each new jump at all. Later while flying you can do some roll backs, roll fowards, barrel rolls, falling acceleration, etc. This is one of the center mechanics and the core gameplay to learn to handle. Beyond all this is when you can pull those stunts, gain experience and gradually you may unlock NEW jumppoint stages, new wingsuits (that will give you more speed, handling balances, etc) and new cosmetics to customize freely. and besides everything mentioned, the game also contains an online mode with racing mode, Free roams, and new gameplay modes that I'm still testing. So far the game surprised me for good, many times. Here is a quick 2 mins video with a few stunts and music: https://youtu.be/CF-Auxk_JNQ (sometimes I enjoy the game so much that I just fly with music :) ) I can strongly recommend: DO NOT MISS THIS GAME!!! PS: if you are afraid of getting sick.... don't. The game has many helps and improvements for those that are still getting their VR Legs, like making a safer way to jump, some view angles reduced and some other improvements made for the players to set over their tast and needs. PS2: The team behind this game are really good people that listen to players and they are releasing VR content since very early days and pushing VR tech and fun together. Worthy team for a better gaming world :) Go go go and lookout for those birds!!!!
really nasty looking graphics , even with graphics settings maxed out it still looked like a bad mobile phone game . on the whole it just looks and feels like a trashy cheap Chinese mobile phone game , ignore these paid shills giving this rubbish high praise , if you want a good wing suit game get rush instead of this.
First came to this when the demo came out. I´ve never jumped out of a plane (or a bridge) in my life, so i don`t know how real life wingsuit flying/parachuting feels. I also did not play the first game, so i lack the ability to compare both titles directly but this is my experience so far after around 14 hours of play. Controls: You steer your flight by slightly raising your arms and create drag to turn (just like the real thing). I started off completing the tutorial and it managed to teach me the basics of how to fly. At first it`s a bit confusing during the tutorial and i didn`t feel i got all that was teached but that turned out to be wrong. After a little bit of flying and playing aroung with my neutral flying position it felt good pretty fast. Content: There are 21 Exit Points with ascending drop off heights (ranging from around 3500 up to 8000 meters). Each Exit Point has multiple different objectives for you to complete and earn XP. Those XP are needed to unlock new Exit Points and better wingsuits. Wingsuits have three stats (Speed, Handling, Lift) and there are a couple of them (some specialized in speed, some in lift, etc.) The objectives on each course have a range of stuff for you to do: Fly certain lines (through checkpoints), collect letters on the course, fly through tight gaps, set certain scores, formation runs, etc. They are carefully crafted and do a pretty good job of getting you better at flying by challenging you. You also have to search the area you are flying in for collectibles (UFOs, Whales) you are tasked to find. Other than just flying downhill there is a trick and combo system built into the game: You can do flips and rolls which can be comboed with proximity flying into another flip for example. If you get good at this game it becomes more of a little Tony Hawk Pro Skater or SSX (although it takes a little bit of practise and there are not as many tricks as in the mentioned games). Each Exit Point has a public leaderboard which you can compete for (currently no cheated scores present, everything looks legit for the moment). On top of all that there also is online mutliplayer! Get your friends together and compete in some races or a last man standing (/flying?). Flying my first formation run with a friend setting the route as we flew and seeing each other was amazing! There is also a PVP mode anounced which will you have firing rockets at your friends! :) Another thing to mention is this is a "quick restarter": While playing, most of your time will be spent in the air flying! There is no need to click through menus after menus and stat screens and stuff to get to the next jump. There`s a quick control and after crashing or pulling the parachute im back at the dropoff within 2 button clicks (within around 2-3 seconds maybe). Appreciate that very much, keeps the flow very high! TL;DR: If you doin`t get motionsick from VR - buy it! You can`t do nothing wrong for the price and it`s a blast!!!
Video of my first dip into the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q74agmdav8U I've been a fan of the original Mount Wingsuit in VR for quite some time now, so I've really been looking forward to this, and was hoping that it would be a great evolution of the original game. I'm so glad to find out it really is. It still has the feel of the original, with updated graphics, lots of little changes that really make it a better experience overall, and also with new types of challenges that are really fun (the formation mode is really enjoyable!). If you're into PCVR, and if you have some level of "VR legs", I honestly feel this is a must-have game. It really is one of those peak VR experiences that just makes perfect sense, messes with your senses, and leaves you feeling a bit badass into the bargain. There are one or two very small things I would very gently complain about, but they're more personal taste and they're also very small issues. Point being: it's not 100% polished but damn it's so much fun! Big recommend from me.
Early review, but I played the demo for a few hours as well, and wishlisted directly after my first try. They nailed the feeling of flying, controls are great and it's not too much assisted. It seems there is plenty of content, and I like the freedom to explore. A drone can point to a selected objective as well, but it's better to discover by ourselves. Watch out, It's quite addicting. Just a last little jump… then half an hour later I was still playing. We'll see how it goes after more hours of playtime, I should update my review then.
TLDR: This game is EXTREMELY FUN! Has multiplayer, challenges, un-lockables, nearly 10+ levels of endless flying, race mode against others, more below. - - - ive been in vr for nearly 7+ years now and a game like this is unique! while its learning system may seem scary or even frustrating at first, its really really well in depth once you get the hang of it, the feeling you get of nearly crashing head on into a tree just to NEARLY miss it! or try to dodge, weave, and zig zag your way your through different mount sides! - There's even different height elevations, and even realistic flying mechanics, trying to pull up to high will make your wing suit stall, you'll have to dive bomb in order to gain enough speed and slowly pick yourself upwards in order to regain altitude! Or fly to low and you might not be able to pull yourself back up in time before you hit something and...splat! deader then a bug on a wind shield! (pun intended) - multiplayer is also really smooth! watching your friends zip past each other as you watch them do tricks, go for cool traverse passes or just barely hearing them scream as they do something impossible they'll never be able to do again. challenges to help you along the way to earn cool unlocks, and even customization for user preferences. so you're not stuck to just one thing. Oh! and don't forget the color smoke! we all like to have awesome smoke trail as we fly! Tricks, somersaults, and flips oh more! that's right, you can do tricks in this game, front flips, back flips, and side barrel rolls! you can even do these while you're trying to get close to things, resulting in more points! - I HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone looking for something new, go in slow and you'll have a blast! There's so much more I could cover about this game but I know not everyone reads these things. so ill make sure to give a TLDR at the top! but if you are looking for something new and refreshing, this is it!

This is a solid wingsuit game that I definitely enjoyed playing through! I *loved* the first one and played the heck out of it. And I have some thoughts regarding the two :) Pros: - The second one is likely easier to pick up and a learn than the first was. Coming directly off of the first one, it was a bit of an adjustment, but I quickly got my flying legs under me. Or rather, behind me. - There is some nice QOL improvements in the second one. The mini-map in the menu is especially appreciated, and really helped to give a better sense of the map as a whole, and the relative locations of everything. - Tricks are a bit easier to pull off and to keep a combo going in the second one - The top-tier suit is crazy. You can get some serious speed, and pull off some super tight turns in it. Definitely tighter turns than the best suit in the first one. This is both a pro and a con. I do enjoy it... but it almost feels a little *too* OP, and makes things like the ring courses a little too easy. - The hidden UFOs in general are a bit easier to find in the 2nd than the hidden orbs were in the first. Except for the UFO on the last drop point. I still have no idea where that thing is! Cons: - While the flying mechanics and controls may be a bit more beginner friendly in the 2nd one, I feel like it's just not quite as fun or engaging as the first one was. The first one likely has a steeper learning curve, but there was just something about it, that once you really got the controls under your belt, it felt *amazing* to fly. - I found the ring courses in the second one to be less challenging, and less fun, than the first. They were pretty boring up to about drop point 17-18 and then they started getting more interesting. But even then, there wasn't any course that I had to do more than say.. 4-5 times or so (iirc), before I was able to get perfection on it. And I just didn't get the same "rush" in flying them as I did the first. - I really miss the on-screen speed and score view. Having to look down at your wrists while flying takes too much effort and makes you take your eyes off of where you're going. I basically never look now. --- I haven't tried out the multiplayer aspect yet, although it does sound like fun! Overall, I enjoyed this a bit less than I did the first, but I still definitely enjoyed it and recommend it.
Mount Wingsuit 2 is a paid VR game where you are Wingsuit flying. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, sounded ok, played ok. Has in-game tutorial. Has a cross-platform multiplayer mode. Has 27 steam achievements. I guess it feels like wingsuit flying. Has large list of missions you can try to do. Has a free demo that you can try before you buy. You can hit the ground and map objects, then die. Warning: Might cause motion sickness, will cause fear of falling and vertigo. Maybe buy this game, if you like flying in VR. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. ViVE VR curator group
