Motte Island

I don't enjoy giving a thumbs down to what seems like an honest indie effort, and while there is plenty to like here, it ultimately wasn't an enjoyable experience. The first bit during the day seemed very promising, but as soon as it turns into nighttime and the meat of the game should begin, it turns into a slog. The graphics are simple, which is fine, but everything also looks very flat and hard to tell apart, making it very dull and confusing to navigate in the dark. Exploration is punished way more than it is encouraged let alone rewarded, and you're way more likely to run into several terrible, monotonous fights than find anything useful or interesting to look at. The enemies also respawn every time you leave the screen so what is even the point. Plus if you die you're very likely to completely break the game in unfixable ways, which happened to me twice in one hour. In the end, even if the story seemed intriguing, you're left with not much to do and not many reasons to keep pushing through.

wow the suspense, this game is hoinestly one of the best horror games I have played in a long time. The puzzles are fun, the combat is great, and the enemy design is fantastic.

Buen juego de horror cenital 2d. Similar al Siren de Sony en cuanto tematica y argumento, por supuesto en una vertiente mas indie y sencilla. Te ocupara unas cuantas horas y tanto el arte como la ambientacion son cuando menos curiosos. Recomendable a este precio.

I highly recommend this game, purely for its terrifying atmosphere and music, even the main menu gives me shivers! Absolutely fantastic storyline, and many scary moments that'll make you jump out of your chair! Sure to be a classic for the top-down Horror games, just think of Hotline Miami crossed with a classic PS1 Silent Hill game! Also, can't help but love that Morgan Freeman voice on the Trailer ;) P.S: I thought there would have been at least 1 'motte' joke in the reviews/discussions :P

Well I think you could do better about next game of you. okay this game overall is good game.

Not much of 2D top-down gave me terrified feeling and fear factor as much as Motte Island. It's indonesian indie horror adventure which presents you Silent Hill like story, unique enemy design, painting art style, and very well soundtrack. I finished this game and feel like old traditional horror game. You have to search everything and figure out the way. It's kinda annoy for someone, but it truly feel intense and fun for me. Even the game it's quite short, but it gives best horror experience so far.

En Sega Genesis me hubiera gustado. En PC y en la actualidad, no.

Motte Island is a good horror game with a little bit everything. A scary cult, Scary monsters a sad story and a little bit of H.P lovecraft thrown inb But its not perfect some of the boesses can be a bit unfair and the monster's in the game jumb out of no were, Plus there is a little bit of unsolved mystery/unanswered questions, But nothing to big and some bugs but again nothing to big. So if you want get nice horror game with little bit of everything. This game is for you but you will die a lot in it and get a few jump scares too.
