I wouldn't recommend the game because it is pretty annoying to play through it. I hate the apples part so much because my vision is not good so it took me over 30 minutes to find them on my own, on 2nd playthrough in attempt to get another ending apparently setting down basket of apples takes whole afternoon and is evening by the time you are done placing done a basket of apples which is one of the dumbest things that happened in this game because obviously putting down a basket of apples does not take a whole afternoon, it takes 1 second and this forced me to re-play again which was completely unnecessary.. The repetition is very annoying as well, I wouldn't recommend this for anyone unless they were hunting for achievements. This game is really annoying to play and sometimes I don't even know what I am supposed to do when there are no objectives shown in the game, I'm just supposed to know what to do I guess. This game quickly turns from horror into rage game and repetitive game and is not something I'd recommend.
Пугающе впечатляющая игра которая не имеет ни одного скримера, а пугает на метафорическом уровне, что я считаю особенно хорошо, пусть Вас не пугает омерзительная графика, помните, это стиль и задумка автора, очень рекомендую всем!

⭐My score: 9/10 TL;DR: a short but deeply unsettling slow-burn experience—light on gameplay, heavy on atmosphere and storytelling. 🟦NOTE: This is the most standalone-friendly entry in the trilogy, but the story becomes much richer if you play it back-to-back with "The Enigma Machine" and "[ECHOSTASIS]".
Overview
This is my favorite chapter in the whole trilogy. There’s not much I can say beyond what you see in the trailers without going into spoiler territory, so just take my word for it: it’s good, really good. Unsettling, but not exactly “horror” per se (there’s only one jumpscare)—it’s more of a slow-burning, uncomfortable feeling that lingers and steadily grows over time. The game is little more than a story-driven walking sim with a few interactions, but don’t be fooled—you’ll find yourself way more invested than you’d expect.
Key Points
[*]
DIFFICULTY:
Some of the few puzzles are a bit obtuse, but you’ll manage. No combat or time limits. [*]
PRESENTATION:
Gorgeous, liminal, surreal ’90s VHS aesthetic. I swear most of my childhood memories look exactly like this (yeah… don’t ask). [*]
STORY:
A heavily story-driven experience—and thankfully, the story keeps you hooked from start to finish. [*]
GAMEPLAY/GAMEPLAY LOOP:
First-person walking sim with light puzzle elements and story-driven progression. [*]
TECHNICAL POLISH:
I didn’t encounter any [unintended] glitches or bugs. [*]
MONEYxCONTENT VALUE:
$8+ is a bit pricey for what is, admittedly, a very short game (under 3 hours for all achievements). Wait for a discount, but you’ll get the most value from the full ENIGMA Trilogy bundle. ➡️https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/41914/THE_ENIGMA_TRILOGY/
One of the most interesting, original ideas for a trilogy of games that I have played in super long time. I have never seen a developer in a past game I played put DLC in a demo. The demo even suggests that after you have completed the original to revisit it. Fitting for this series. It gets better the more you play, and I highly suggest you play all three in the order they were released. I am playing all of them for the second time now to hunt for what I missed. I can't find anything else like them. Love these games.
its very good. i dont really know what else to say about it. the secrets all feel very rewarding and finding them is pretty fun. one of the better horror games in recent memory.
Great game and story, but please change the apple section. It drives me nuts every time i do it
Quite unpleasant but I mean that as a compliment. I just want to be with Mother.
One of the best and unique horror games out there. Also, related to the other games by ENIGMA STUDIO, yet fully separate on its own and presenting its own amazing story.
amateurish and obtuse. i ran all around the house, and all around the outside having no idea what to do. i turn on a lets play for the same day, and see the poor guy run around humping every single bit that could be humped just like me. and the best part - its all freaking like that. good luck knowing to click the sun. also ending is unsatisfying as hell.
