This game has such weirdly preachy dialogue that doesn't fit in with anything and it's moreso talking to the player being like "hey people use PRONOUNS" while also simultaneously having horrible (and sometimes harmful) queer and poc representation and having unironic dialogue like "blunt force trauma to the head is just so... straight, you know?" and "typical "Hollyweird" liberal, -- so short sighted." You have the token flirty gay male character talking about how he thinks Jeffrey Dahmer has a "certain mystique" while trying to educate me on what a bio queen is? The only mysteries in this game are how I managed to complete it and why I didn't refund it while I still had the chance
скучно. при моей любви к нанограммам я уснула уже на обучении, ведь его нельзя выключить в настройках или скипнуть)))
I would only recommend this game to people who are already familiar with Picross and really enjoy it. That being said, I love this game! The 90s vibe and aDr are fun, and the puzzles become challenging enough for someone who has played a lot of picross. It’s not a super deep story, but I enjoyed the plot and the characters! I’d love to see them in a sequel of some kind
Murder by Numbers TL;DR - 6/10
I wouldn't recommend the game. However, if your goal IS to solve nonograms, this is worth grabbing at a good sale.
Artstyle and UX - 6.5/10
The art style in the game is lovely. However, it does feel a little stern. While it isn't necessarily a bad thing, it does take away from the overall experience.
Gameplay - 5/10
The main reason to play the game was the puzzles, but here's where things slide off for me. The 'hacking' sections add the spin of time which made it interesting. The nonograms are nice, BUT, the puzzles sometimes repeat (I may sound crazy, but I am pretty sure the puzzle repeated). The other nonograms having nothing to them, coupled with this repetition, makes the game a bit of a chore rather than not. The difficulty plateaus and then there's nothing else to it.
Story - 5/10
Following through the story, as someone that hasn't played many VN games, I have to say it was mediocre. It takes a fair bit of time to get through the nonograms, and we are left with a story that isn't really special. There are too many 'Ha! You thought!' moments that felt unwarranted.
Music - 7.5/10
The music was calming enough, so that's that.
Final Verdict
The repetitive nature of the puzzles and the plateau in difficulty turns the game into a drag, and the narrative simply doesn't reward the time investment. Pick it up on sale only if you want a nonogram solver.
I think this game is really fun... up until about case 4, in which I feel like the game starts to drag on. If I could give this game a middle of the road review I would, it's a fine game and if you're into picross style games then you should play this, it's pretty cute and fun, but the story definitely goes on for too long. overall, it's fine. Not too challenging and pretty straightforward, I just feel like in a sea of games this isn't one that really stands out.
Very fun number weaving game makes my head spin! The first time I played number weaving, it was really fun. The heroine's character is very interesting, a bit of a mourning reliable divorced woman, and the portrayal of KC and Becky is also very fun, I like it very much. Especially Becky in the second chapter, she is so charming, actionable and beautiful...... Sneak a sneak peek at Becky and Hornor. The main plot line is quite attractive, although the cases are a bit simple, but the characters are cute enough to make me forgive everything. It's a pity that there won't be a second part, I feel that this game is very suitable for a sequel...... Really, each character is so cute that I want to continue watching their lives. v\非常有趣的数织游戏让我头脑旋转!
It's fun, but drags a bit in the middle. It's not always clear who you are supposed to be talking to, but maybe that's on me. The nonogram puzzles incorporated through out that aid in clues are well done. While the story doesn't always make sense, it's a fun to see one incorporated in with the puzzles. Music is decent and supports the experience. It would be a 6/10 for me... one worth the price on sale.
Sorry absolute trash game. At first it was just fine nothing spectacular but it was enjoyable. The story was not engaging one bit, i wants to be a Pheonix Wright kind of game but with Picross as a tool. The mystery side of things is pretty boring and the Picross is decent enough providing a hald decent challenge BUT you get to a point in the story where theres this mandatory hacking section which is a timed mini Picross and the time limit is insanely short, i mean you cant even think ahead short, there is no room for error and even without errors its way too stingent. I literally gave up after attempting multiple times. Also it forcefully includes LGBT down your throats, pointlessly explaining non important points and adds nothing to the overall story. Save your time and money and avoid this, there are better mystery games and better puzzle and Picross games.
Man, they were not lying when they said to set the game to "easy". The game is fun! I wish the black characters didn't look so washed out and ashy, though. I also wish there was some kind of pop-up if you missed a puzzle -- I had to completely redo one of the chapters to get an S-Rank! For every rank you get bonus puzzles, but there is no reward (not even an achievement) for completing those. All and all, I had fun, but it definitely felt lacking in a few areas. Still, if you're here for character shenanigans and fun puzzles, you'll probably enjoy it!
I like the game but I advice to take it at your own pace. Take a break before the next puzzle. It is a fun game. But there's always a clue that requires a puzzle to complete. It's hard to progress through the story with so many puzzles to wade through. The story and dialogue is pretty fun, reminds me of 2000s cartoon dialogue.
