Morels: Out of this World

Игра вообще не зашла. Сначала кажется, что будет что-то необычное — исследование планет, фотографии существ и т.д., но на деле всё быстро превращается в скучную рутину. Основной геймплей — это бесконечно ходить туда-сюда и собирать грибы. Да, есть какие-то животные, иногда даже агрессивные, но их мало и они не спасают ситуацию. Разнообразия почти нет, и уже через короткое время становится откровенно утомительно. Планеты тоже не впечатляют — выглядят средне и быстро приедаются. Нет ощущения исследования или открытия чего-то нового, всё слишком однообразно. Отдельно хочется отметить плохую оптимизацию. Играл на средних настройках во время стрима, и игра всё равно работала нестабильно, что только усилило негативное впечатление. Честно говоря, не понимаю, откуда берутся положительные отзывы, хоть их и немного. Для меня это скучный и однообразный проект. Моя оценка: Нет. I was lucky enough to playtest this game and like the two before it, it is another wonderful peaceful escape when you need to switch your brain off. <3 There is so much love in this game that playing it feels like home. I am an avid nature lover and fungi hunter in real life but can be limited physically by how often I am able to do so. I've turned to Wes' games many times to bridge the gap when I'm too unwell to get out and they take up a very big place in my heart. I completely recommend the entirely trilogy if you need to forget the world and pass 5 hours without realising it but dont have much energy or focus. On every map in every game I have my little routes and "check here just in case" spots just like real life. :') You absolutely will not regret buying this game. Also there's cool frogs so. Buy it. :)

I have really enjoyed this game. The environment, the planets, and atmospheres are absolutely stunning. It is very relaxing and peaceful making it a good game to unwind with. As someone who loves all things mushrooms, this is probably one of the better mushroom collecting games out there right now. I would love to see this game continue to grow and update. Maybe with more planets, animals, objects and mushroom types.

I've played the last two game so I'm very excited about this one. I did one run and so far i love the creatures and colors its all very nice and made me feel good about buying the game. The only thing is as of right now NO ANIMALS OR ALIEN MUSHROOMS are named. The animals come up blank and any mushrooms just come up as mushroom. It made me really disappointed as that was one of my fav parts of the other games; identifying animals and other mushrooms. It also seems like the objects and places of interest do not have names which makes me confused on what i am finding on this alien planet. I really hope some updates get hashed out here soon. The only other issue i had was keys spontaneously not working. (M key for map, P key for closing photo book) I've had this issue before in Morels 1 and really hope this gets fixed as it is something that i still get frustrated at in Morels 1.

The [i]Morels[/i] series of forest gallivanting games follows the trajectory of the [i]Cruis’n[/i] arcade hits: The first (and best one) was the largely naturalistic [i]Morels: USA[/i], followed by [i]Morels: World[/i] (more "diverse" locations, less micro variety in types of biomes) and now we have [i]Morels: Exotica[/i]. They're all basically the same game with different flavours and maps. [i]Out of this World[/i] is the one with furry purple frogs. What you'll do is comb through landscapes, scanning both the ground and the horizon with your eyes, for mushrooms, animals to photograph and sometimes interesting artifacts, like a crashed escape pod. No combat. Excitement comes from stamina management, making it back to your tent with 1 % energy left and just being out in virtual nature at different times of day. Good "podcast game", quite resource heavy, requires a decent PC. One very useful feature is that the map displays a trail of your footsteps for the current session, making it easy to see whether you've walked in circles or not. This encourages a more systematic approach. While I do understand the marketable theme chosen for this one I sincerely hope for one final [i]Morels[/i] title about the glorious return to earth that will be more like the first one: A celebration of the diversity within the seemingly mundane; fields and forest likely stretching out right behind the developer's house. And of course: Good luck with his health!

Beautiful levels, but a little otherworldly (appropriately). I love these games, all three of them are brilliant.

Vraiment Déçu de ce 3ème volet, j'ai passé 337 h sur le 1er et 215h pour le 2ème,hélas celui ci est d'une monotonie constante, les couleurs violettes/rosâtre piquent aux yeux à force, les champignons sans grand intérêt et les animaux style peluche pas trop top non plus! Bien sûr nous sommes sur un autre monde, on aime ou pas!!Dommage! Le coté terrestre était plus ludique et intéressant à mon avis! Il existe tellement de variétés d'animaux et de champignons sur notre belle planète qu'il y aurait encore largement de quoi faire?!

I think this is a great start for the third of the Morels games! The idea of mushroom hunting off world is certainly an interesting one. I'm about an hour in and as it stands, this game isn't very playable for me, sadly. I rarely have issues with The Hunt, but this one is just eating my computer for breakfast. A breakfast full of technicolor shrooms fried right on my overheating components. It auto-detected my graphics at epic, and lowering the settings for high and medium did nothing to help the regular freezing. Planet 1 ran... okay. On Planet 2, I tried setting everything to low, but the menu stopped working after setting shadows to low, everything in-world got really bright, and I ended up just having to force quit. It seems like others are having more luck than me so I am still going to recommend it. I really want to see these devs succeed again. For me, between the optimization issues and the fact that none of the new mushrooms and animals have names.... This feels like early access and I am going to wait to see if updates change anything before I play again.
