MOR...E TRAINER (Learning Morse Code)

I find it very easy to learn the letters but the radiogram could do with a speed dial, it goes waaaay to fast for my ears and starting off i can only get the first letter then i just press keys at random to get past it. the radiogram just feels useless at the moment other than that its a great tool!

Bought this game because I always wanted to learn Morse Code. I'm glad I can now practice it beyond listening to old recordings of Morse Code, however I find the speed at which it tests you to be rather fast for beginners. I find myself incapable of passing the first radiogram as I keep going back to the main menu after losing pace with it. Even on the slowest speed I still have difficulty, and am disappointed it can't be slowed down further. I am glad I can now practice individual letters, but radiograms are currently beyond me. Overall I'd say it's 6/10 as a learning resource, with four deducted for the frustration a newcomer goes through after failing a radiogram for want of a slower speed.

At this point of the review I got 0 errors on the first radiogram on the slowest speed, which can be considered fast for beginners. 3 hours of practicing only. 10/10 Love the word association for the signals, personally, that is my favourite method.

I found it weird and confusing to use. It also appears to only allow for two very specific methods of learning Morse code. I wanted to try entering letters myself, like make the beeps myself instead of just listening, nope. I tried to see if I could select specific letters to practice, nope, can only select the specific ones in the specific order for the specific methods of learning programmed into this tool. For example, I've been watching an excellent youtube series and that guy starts off teaching E, T, A and N. Can I practice those for? Nope, I have to include K and several other letters. I thought I found the setting at one point that did let me select specific letters. I'm pretty far along in that youtube series I mentioned so I added like 12 letters. It then spouted off a never ending sequence of K and M with no other letters. I give up.

Great Lessons - Bad Test Speed (radiogram) - can't slow it down.... needs a little work - if you wanna learn morse, buy it cheap until they get a speed dial for lesson 3.

like it. did some morse during military service back in 76. This will help me to pick it up again. in those days we used pencil and paper to teke a message. as I never learned to type at a decent speed, I loose a lot of time taking the radiogram. , I would like to see it translated in clear on screen once transmission is finished. please also check morse codes for ? . and , as used in the translator. ? = MIM or IMI (as I seem to remember)

Its a fun way to learn morse code especially with the help of mnemonic and the repeat exercises. The radiograms are a bit hard to follow for a novice so it would be ideal if we can slow it right down and also reduce the length of the radiograms in the early levels to get more confident without being too overwhelmed I'd also like to see the option to repeat the radiogram as its currently not possible

I wish there was a neutral option. I can't recommend but I can't say it's bad either. I have played very little of this so far. It's good for if you want to learn how to hear and understand morse code. It's the equivalent of learning to hear and understand a language but not be able to speak it. However, it would be better if there was also a way to do the tapping rhythm of the letters yourself. If there was a learning feature where they gave you words and then you do the tapping to translate it, that would be a great addition to the learning. If they would add a feature like that and a feature to slow the sound down a little further for beginners, it would be great. This is more for someone that already knows morse code and wants to maintain what they've learned rather than someone learning for the first time.
