The game ran out of buget for the voice actors 10/10 (you'll have to play the game with subtitles)
This gmae is insane. I love this game from my childhood now im 18 and still love it sooooo much HIGLY recommend... you get 4 full versions just for 5 dollars. NO SCAM! 5 starts get the game rn
As a child, I played this game on my father's iPad for weeks having lots of fun with it in 2013. After a while, I stopped using his iPad and forgot about this game until I suddenly remembered it and tried to find it online until I stumbled upon it here on Steam which was a good surprise. As an Ipad port for PC and it being over 10 years old, this game is very good. If you ignore the small performance issues like low fps and this game not having the best graphics, it's highly enjoyable. For being a kid's game it gives you a lot of opportunities to make an interesting build for your character (ofc there are just some weapons and armour that will always be better). It's simple and gives lots to do for a few hours. I would recommend playing this game on Hard due to it being way too easy otherwise and you would just breeze through the game without being able to enjoy much of it. So for 5€, it's worth giving it a try if you are searching for a funny chicken game that gives you a few hours of fun.
Gute Spiel, diese gut
I always liked this game. I first played it on iOS in 2013 when it first came out. That version made me mad as a kid because while it was fun, you had to pay money the unlock the other story chapters. To make matters worse, the store servers for that version shut down sometime around 2015, which meant that if i deleted the app, I couldn't even use the Restore Purchases button to get the chapters back that I spent money on. This PC version is a lot better. It comes with all the chapters when you buy it, so you don't have to worry about paying for them. This version works great with an Xbox One controller. If you like cheap fighting games that are challenging, you'll like this game. It has some challenging boss fights that will likely make you rage.
Moorhuhn: Tiger and Chicken, developed by Deck13 and published by Higgs Games GmbH, takes the long-running Crazy Chicken series in an unexpected direction by transforming it from a simple arcade shooter into a full-fledged action RPG. This ambitious shift reimagines the franchise’s iconic fowl in an Eastern-inspired world of martial arts, mythical beasts, and comic heroism. It’s a strange yet charming experiment—one that replaces quick bursts of casual fun with an earnest attempt to build a small but complete adventure. The result is a lighthearted, family-friendly RPG that’s colorful, easy to play, and occasionally rough around the edges, but it succeeds in offering a short and enjoyable experience for anyone looking for a breezy fantasy romp. The story follows a young chicken warrior—a silent protagonist in a feathery Shaolin robe—who embarks on a journey to liberate his people from oppression and rescue his kidnapped love. The plot isn’t complex, but it serves its purpose well, evoking the classic hero’s journey wrapped in comedic absurdity. Deck13’s world-building blends Eastern mythology with cartoon logic, resulting in a setting filled with temples, bamboo forests, and clucking villagers that speak in exaggerated tones. The tone strikes a pleasant balance between sincerity and silliness; while the narrative nods toward epic destiny and personal courage, the humor reminds you not to take anything too seriously. The dialogue, though simple, is infused with tongue-in-cheek charm, maintaining the irreverent spirit that defines the Moorhuhn series. Visually, the game offers a colorful and stylized world rendered in full 3D, a significant leap from the franchise’s original 2D roots. The environments are bright, whimsical, and varied enough to keep exploration interesting, even if they lack the detail of modern RPGs. Character models are exaggerated and expressive, with the titular chicken hero standing out as an unlikely but endearing martial artist. The animation work, while occasionally stiff, conveys the cartoon energy the series is known for. Lighting effects and textures are modest but pleasant, and the overall visual presentation is more reminiscent of early console-era RPGs than modern PC titles. The soundtrack complements this aesthetic with upbeat melodies and occasional Eastern motifs that enhance the atmosphere without becoming intrusive. Gameplay is straightforward, designed to be accessible to players of all ages. Combat follows a real-time action RPG format, blending light melee attacks with special skills and magic. Players can dodge, block, and use a mix of fast combos and heavy strikes to dispatch enemies. The system is simple but satisfying in short bursts, offering just enough feedback and variety to keep fights engaging. Between battles, you’ll find loot, collect items, and upgrade equipment, all while gaining experience to enhance your chicken warrior’s abilities. Three distinct skill trees allow for mild customization, giving players the choice between melee-focused power, defensive resilience, or magical prowess. Though it doesn’t offer the depth or tactical nuance of larger RPGs, the progression system is clear and rewarding, striking a comfortable middle ground between accessibility and challenge. Level design is linear but efficient. Each area presents a clear objective—defeat enemies, collect resources, or progress to the next zone—without unnecessary complexity. There’s a light puzzle-solving element scattered throughout, though most tasks are simple fetch quests or switch activations. While exploration is limited, the pacing ensures that players are rarely left wandering aimlessly. The game’s structure feels more like an old-school console adventure than an open-world RPG, with self-contained stages that deliver a sense of progression without dragging on too long. The entire campaign can be completed in roughly five to six hours, making it a compact experience perfect for casual sessions or younger players. Where Moorhuhn: Tiger and Chicken shines is in its cheerful tone and sense of personality. The writing embraces the absurdity of its concept, filling the world with amusing characters, ridiculous enemies, and lighthearted dialogue. Despite the simplicity, there’s an unmistakable sincerity to the adventure—it never mocks its own genre but instead celebrates it through parody. Even as you fight dragons, bandits, and strange mystical beasts, the game never loses its cartoonish optimism. It’s an adventure that feels more Saturday morning cartoon than epic saga, but that’s precisely what makes it endearing. However, the game’s charm can’t entirely mask its limitations. The combat, while fun at first, lacks variety as the hours go on. Enemies often behave similarly, and boss encounters, though visually impressive, don’t demand much strategy. The loot system also shows signs of repetition, with identical items dropping frequently, and the crafting system feels underdeveloped. Technical performance is generally stable, but some users report occasional frame drops or minor bugs, and the fixed camera perspective can make movement feel awkward in confined areas. The voice acting is minimal, and while this fits the comedic tone, it also contributes to the sense that the production values are modest. These issues don’t break the experience but remind players that the game was built on a smaller scale than traditional RPGs. Despite these shortcomings, Moorhuhn: Tiger and Chicken manages to achieve something admirable. It takes a brand best known for casual minigames and successfully reinterprets it within a completely different genre. Its short length works in its favor, preventing repetition from becoming fatiguing, and its forgiving mechanics make it approachable for newcomers to the RPG genre. The humor and visual flair give it a unique identity that distinguishes it from other budget action RPGs on the market. For those willing to embrace its simplicity and lighthearted charm, it delivers a few hours of colorful entertainment that doesn’t overstay its welcome. Ultimately, Moorhuhn: Tiger and Chicken is a delightful curiosity—an unlikely fusion of cartoon absurdity and martial-arts fantasy that succeeds on the strength of its personality and accessibility. It’s not a deep or mechanically rich RPG, but it never pretends to be. Instead, it offers a compact, playful experience filled with bright visuals, fast-paced combat, and an earnest sense of fun. Fans of the Moorhuhn series will appreciate this new twist on a familiar character, while casual RPG players looking for something lighthearted will find a charming little adventure to enjoy. It may be small in scope, but it carries a big heart—and in that sense, it’s a worthy addition to one of gaming’s most peculiar franchises. Rating: 7/10
Masterpiece
After playing the other Moorhuhn/Crazy Chicken games, this was a bit of a surprise. It's actually good! It's a pretty simplistic action RPG in the same vein as Diablo, and it's surprisingly competently made. I'd probably recommend playing on hard since it actually makes you think a little. Call me crazy but I kinda want a sequel...
