About
Create your own legend in a 1 to 4 player co-operative personality test! Explore a mystical Mesopotamian-inspired world that's different every time you play.
The Steam version includes the free expansion, Eternal Echoes, with a new snowy tribe, seventh character class, and a new constellation meta-game system, complete with a final boss and endless arena mode.

When the moon does not rise over Issaria, monsters infest the land and cause chaos. You must set out alone or with the other chosen children of the Moon to solve the mystery and restore balance. You have only 5 days before King Mardokh and the Sun Cultists declare war.
Multiple playthroughs uncover characters, conflicts, and decisions. Each of the five tribes responds differently to the crisis and looks for different qualities in their heroes.
Every action and choice you make contributes to your legend as a constellation in the night sky. Future generations will build upon the mythology you create. How will you be remembered?

Build your mythology: Your actions and decisions grow into your reputation, changing how the world reacts to and remembers you.
A mystical journey: Different locations and landmarks each have their own potential to help or hinder adventurers.
Revive your old heroes: Honor your past heroes, and test their strength against the new final boss or endless arena
Local co-op: Playing alone is fine, but team up with others to overcome the hardest challenges!
Great for parties: Each playthrough is less than an hour, allowing people to play together in one sitting.
Different every time: With a randomly generated world and adventure levels, with different upgrades at each vendor, there's always something new to find.
Familiars: Find various animal companions to help you on your journey.

Seven unique character classes offer a variety of gameplay styles:
Spellblade: dodge and weave with quick melee attacks
Witch: heavy thrusts and a blood beam keeps enemies at bay
Ritualist: dual-stick shooting and enemy manipulation
Druid: shape-shifting into wolf form
Sun Cultist: high damage, but friendly fire (literally)
Songweaver: support through creative use of melodies
Snowdancer: high mobility and freezing damage

I am disappointed. They removed Multiplayer. It was so nice to have a relaxing fun game with friends, and now that's not possible.
Fundamentally a nice attempt at a rogue like. It's one of the early ones. But it feels like the devs were overwhelmed by the task to make it not only complete but good. This game would need overhaul in many areas before i could recommend it. I won't make a list unless someone asks. It's just too much.
I don't know if i should be playing this 10 years after it's release, but I found it pretty buggy. When you cheer at the cheer panel, it only displays a broken website link. also, my so and me chose a map because it had a merchant and a strange statue, but when it generated the map, they were not there, which was pretty disappointing. the game has its way of luring us with interesting things and immediately blocking us from accessing it... but it's very appealing, I wish they continue to update it and give more stuff to enrich the game.
Don't listen to any negative comments regarding this game. If you are looking for a typical rouge like then maybe this isn't for you but the beauty of this game is the countless and numerous random interactions! Not everything will be available in your first playthrough and that's the very point of it! My partner and I love this game and even after hours of game play we still are discovering new things and new options! Definitely a fun date night game with just enough fighting to keep the hack and slash fun with a really interesting and unique story line. Give a shot since one run can be done in less then 2 hours and if it really isn't for you then you can refund it but if you can see the promise then continue with a new run!
Me and my partner are in love with this game. The beautiful art style, the combat, the character designs, the dialogue, the possibilities- it's all so charming and FEELS GOOD to play. It's a lovely game to just pick up and play. The BEST PART?: CO-OP. Sitting in my partner's lap playing this game when we first started dating was so fun and is such a core memory for us!! We did several runs of this game and love it to bits- still haven't seen all the game has to offer yet either! We truly wish they would add more to the game or even make a sequel <3 A lovely hidden gem of a game. I 100% recommend this to my fellow gamers. And if you buy it with the soundtrack and the concept book- definitely take the time to listen and look- it's inspiring.
As much as I liked the game for what it turned into ... it wasn't what I 'Kickstarted' originally... it was going to be like Gauntlet Legends... but with Character Progression... City Progression/Building... Exploring through the world... But now it's ... "Five Days Remaining..." over and over again... it sadly got old very quickly... I wanted to like it more and promote it to my friends... but when the original lil' group of friends saw the game was practically given the treatment of making the game as short as possible with randomly generated maps that are as small as possible instead of making a fully fleshed out game in comparison? The heart died I'd had for the game. Why not a negative review...? Because I enjoyed what the game is ... but look back on what could have been with sad nostalgia.
Good with friends once in a while, as it gets repetitive pretty fast.
TLDR: Really fun game, surprisingly fun on replay, does become repetitive. Best played with friends. Pros: I quite enjoy this game. The art style is pretty, the characters are varied, and the overall gameplay is solid. The most impressive quality by far was just how much is to discover. After the first few runs I thought I had seen it all, only to discover a new POI or NPC interaction. Definitely best to play in co-op. Some characters are *stunningly* more powerful than others, but I like that. With experience, it becomes an engaging challenge to try less-OP characters (particularly those with less crowd control or AOE). This game has a lot of similarities to one of my favorites, Hyper Light Drifter. Similar vibe, art style, and exploratory & action gameplay. In many ways, this game exemplifies what HLD could be in a multiplayer format: introducing hero-based characters and a 3-day level system (similar to Nightreign, Hyper Light Breaker, etc) to that same atmosphere of wanderlust and discovery. Cons: Infrequently, I've encountered one or two bugs like getting stuck in terrain or boss fights not ending correctly. Rare, but usually resulted in having to restart. Unfortunately this game does start to become repetitive after ~10-15 runs. There are a variety of maps, but they all have a fairly similar layout. Enemies come in a variety of ranges and difficulties, but do not meaningfully become more challenging with progression besides larger healthbars. Even the music (which overall is great) gets repetitive after awhile. There's a sort-of horde mode endgame challenge which I've dabbled in, which unfortunately has not captured my attention so far. The map is tiny and the gameplay is just to keep killing a boss amidst other smaller enemies.
I want so badly to love this game. It's got original and bright art, the soundtrack is excellent, a lot of the random characters and story beats are interesting, and the idea of developing your character into some kind of trope they'll be remembered by is clever. Not to mention, but couch coop games feels increasingly rare, and when this game launched roguelike RPGs were only just picking up steam. It all sounds so promising! But the game falls apart in its mechanics. Playable characters are wildly unbalanced and many will always feel weak. The combat often feels static and unrewarding. The runs feel a little too short to contain what the game tries to stuff into them--developing a character, following a storyline, etc., feels strange when there's only four days. Honestly, I *do* like this game. But its the way you like a badly behaved foster dog that keeps eating your drywall whenever you leave the house: there's a personal affection, but I could never recommend it. If you try, you can find some joy in the game, especially if you are playing together with friends on the couch. But you'll also come away frequently frustrated. And there are realistically other games that could give you the same positive takeaways without that level of frustration (e.g., Children of Morta, which is doing something very similar but with more polish).
Underated af. Shame the servers shut down
