Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Monument is a game that proudly wears its inspirations on its sleeve. Developed and published by Andrei Ivashentsev, this independent first-person shooter channels the spirit of the genre's formative years, delivering an experience built around speed, reflexes, and unrelenting combat. Rather than chasing contemporary trends such as expansive skill trees, cinematic storytelling, or multiplayer features, Monument focuses entirely on providing a concentrated dose of classic FPS gameplay. From the moment players enter its strange and hostile world, it becomes apparent that the game is designed for those who appreciate the simplicity and intensity of old-school shooters. The setting is deliberately surreal, throwing players into a collection of environments inhabited by an assortment of unusual enemies. The game's descriptions emphasize a world where aliens, monstrous creatures, and even absurd foes like evil chickens stand in the player's path. Monument doesn't concern itself with extensive lore or character development, opting instead for environmental variety and constant forward momentum. Each stage introduces a different atmosphere, ensuring that exploration remains engaging even when the objective is straightforward. The absence of a traditional narrative may disappoint players who enjoy story-heavy campaigns, but the game compensates by maintaining a brisk pace that rarely slows down. Combat serves as the foundation of the entire experience, and Monument excels when it places players in the middle of chaotic firefights. Its weapon selection includes familiar tools of destruction such as shotguns and automatic firearms, alongside more unconventional additions like plasma-based weaponry and improvised rifles. Every encounter demands movement and awareness, encouraging players to keep running rather than hiding behind cover. Enemy groups frequently attack from multiple directions, creating scenarios that feel reminiscent of classic arena shooters. The game's difficulty can be demanding, particularly in later levels, but overcoming its challenges provides a satisfying sense of accomplishment for players willing to master its mechanics. One of Monument's defining features is its teleportation gun, an inventive addition that elevates the game beyond simple nostalgia. This device allows players to instantly transport themselves to any visible location by firing at it, introducing an entirely different dimension to movement and level navigation. It becomes an invaluable tool for escaping dangerous situations, reaching hidden areas, and experimenting with combat strategies. The mechanic injects a level of creativity that keeps the gameplay fresh throughout the campaign. While some levels make better use of the teleportation system than others, it remains one of the game's most memorable ideas and helps establish its own identity within the crowded field of retro-inspired shooters. Visually, Monument adopts a minimalist presentation that prioritizes clarity and atmosphere over technical sophistication. The environments range from dark industrial spaces to strange, almost dreamlike landscapes, all rendered with a style that recalls an earlier era of PC gaming. The graphics are functional rather than impressive, but they effectively support the game's tone. Sound design also deserves recognition, as weapon effects and ambient audio contribute significantly to the feeling of tension during combat. Players expecting modern production values may find the presentation somewhat dated, yet those familiar with independent retro shooters will likely appreciate its straightforward approach. Despite its strengths, Monument is not without flaws. The limited storytelling and occasionally uneven difficulty may alienate some audiences, while the modest visual presentation reflects the constraints of its independent development. Certain encounters can feel overly punishing, and the lack of additional gameplay modes reduces long-term replay value. However, these shortcomings are balanced by the game's commitment to delivering a focused experience. Monument never attempts to be a sprawling blockbuster; instead, it succeeds by understanding its audience and offering exactly what fans of classic shooters expect. In the end, Monument stands as an enjoyable tribute to the FPS games that defined an era. Its fast-paced action, varied level design, and unique teleportation mechanic combine to create an experience that feels both nostalgic and distinct. Although it may not appeal to every player, especially those seeking narrative depth or cutting-edge visuals, it remains a worthwhile title for enthusiasts of retro-inspired shooters. It is a testament to how much can be achieved when a developer concentrates on strong fundamentals and a clear creative vision. Rating: 7/10
