Started off promising, but its been 4 years now in Early Access, with almost no updates. The last update was nearly 12 months ago. Interesting concept, and I enjoy the setting and the creators ability to craft suspense, but the game appears to be abandoned.
The game had a lot of potential. Unfortunately it seems to be abandoned.
I had high hopes for this game but was abandoned couple years ago. Such a shame since it had high potential.
A short, buggy mess. The only reason my playtime is over 2 hours is because my safegame got corrupted. EA game that has been long abandoned.
It's a dead pile of ass.
I have no idea what this game is. walk off the path they want you to take fall through map load checkpoint spin until you throw up. Not a good or even really playable game avoid like the plague.
Montas is an abandoned early access VR focused first person horror/jumpscare adventure game. Plod around train stations and corridors and have surreal teleportation experiences because I dunno what the developers were thinking really. The game was abandoned shortly after launch and then quickly shovelled into cheap game bundles so the developers could extract as much cash out of the market as they can before running for the hills. No refunds were given, this was really just a cheap cash grab. I can't recommend anyone should pay these guys for an incomplete game.
Follow "First Person Exploration and Puzzle Games" for more games like this!
There doesn't seem to be any story. You just walk around from one unrelated scene to another, and sometimes something mildly scary happens. There's nothing really driving you to continue the game. Also, it's been in early access in 7 years, with no updates at all during that time. Avoid this one.
If you want the story for the game, read the store page and save your money as that's the most you will get. there's no sort of story or explanation for anything that happens. The game simply starts and you wander around aimlessly unsure if you are actually progressing. Things randomly happen which the game desperately want you to think is scary, but the lack of any sort of purpose or meaning coupled with the numerous bugs means that at most you'll be mildly startled. The game prevented me from progressing as it wanted me to use an item on an object - something it never tutorializes - but even when i figured out how to access my inventory and use the item the game simply wouldn't do anything. Don't count on this bug or any other big being fixed; judging by the reviews and the fact this game has been in "Early Access" for 10 years, this is all it is and all it will ever be. https://store.steampowered.com/app/269350/Montas/# Awful. Non-functional. Do not play. Not worth your money - at any price.
Bought this game 10 years ago, excited for what it would become... It became nothing. What a shame. Updated: To the Developer, https://steamcommunity.com/id/JarthGames/ , please allow people refunds or update us on your game. This is NOT acceptable.
