Bought this game 10 years ago, excited for what it would become... It became nothing. What a shame. Updated: To the Developer, https://steamcommunity.com/id/JarthGames/ , please allow people refunds or update us on your game. This is NOT acceptable.
If you want the story for the game, read the store page and save your money as that's the most you will get. there's no sort of story or explanation for anything that happens. The game simply starts and you wander around aimlessly unsure if you are actually progressing. Things randomly happen which the game desperately want you to think is scary, but the lack of any sort of purpose or meaning coupled with the numerous bugs means that at most you'll be mildly startled. The game prevented me from progressing as it wanted me to use an item on an object - something it never tutorializes - but even when i figured out how to access my inventory and use the item the game simply wouldn't do anything. Don't count on this bug or any other big being fixed; judging by the reviews and the fact this game has been in "Early Access" for 10 years, this is all it is and all it will ever be. https://store.steampowered.com/app/269350/Montas/# Awful. Non-functional. Do not play. Not worth your money - at any price.
Look. The game is abandoned, it hasn’t been worked on in a decade, and it probably shouldn’t be for sale but, I find this project fascinating. I don’t know what happened to the devs but they were on to something. Guarantee this will be part of a YouTube video on hidden oddities some day. But yeah, if you want a finished game, look elsewhere.
Vorsicht...das Spiel wird anscheinend nicht mehr weiterentwickelt!
Unfinished abandonware plain and simple
Tags: Adventure - WS - Walking Sim Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Eternal Early Access. Some minor artifacting despite locked refresh rate and proper resolution. Very corridorish. No interactivity. Very empty. Avoid. This is a rather blurry game in which you wake up from an appartment and make your way out. Everything takes forever, elevators, waiting for subway to show up. You walk from one end of a corridor to another constantly. There are very few assets in the game per say. If there is a narrative here it is very disjointed and indirectly told, everything is just a small scripted vignette and there is not much establishing of the setting. Conclusion: The entertainment value is near nil, maybe this is good experience for this developper but I do not think this is worth giving continued attention to and I would rather see it removed for declutter.
Just in case anyone's wondering this is still in development hell, I know since I've been following it since it came out *puts on clown nose and wig*
y. Great atmosphere.
This was the game that made me never buy early access again. A shame it wasn't finished, it's basically in beta.
Stick a beehive in your shorts and you'll have more fun than this trash. Unfinished, glitchy, smeared turd.
