If you're going to be the big hero and save the city, you've gotta get some Montabi! Each Montabi has a unique set of skills, giving you endless combinations for team synergies. Collect equipment and charms and utilize them to chart the path to victory!
Train your Montabi to grow stronger, unlocking new moves to enhance your team's strategy. As they level up, your Montabi evolve into more powerful forms, gaining new card abilities and expanding your tactical options. If you work together, there's nothing you and your Montabi can't achieve!
Deploy your best strategies to beat up the bad guys in a unique 3x3 grid-based system. With every Montabi's unique abilities, you'll have endless options to outthink the competition and win the day. Just make sure you rest up at a cafe every now and then to recover those hit points!
Select from diverse trainers, each with a unique playstyle. If Slay the Spire, Megaman Battle Network and Pokémon had a baby, you'd get Montabi. The creature designs are innovative and fit the world far better than any recent Pokemon designs fit that world in my opinion. If you love creature collectors, card battlers, or just want a cozy yet challenging tactical roguelike, this is an easy buy. It's great to play on Steamdeck too. You can tell how much love went into this game.

Montabi is one of the best indie roguelike games I've played. The gameplay is smooth, addictive, and packed with satisfying progression. Every run offers new strategies with different equipment, charms, and team combinations, making each playthrough feel fresh. The biggest surprise is how beginner-friendly the game is. The UI is clear, easy to understand, and well-designed, so new players can jump right in without confusion. At the same time, experienced players can enjoy optimizing builds and overcoming harder challenges. Time flies while playing this game—I planned to play for 30 minutes, but suddenly three hours had passed. That's how engaging and fun the gameplay is. If you enjoy roguelike, strategy, survival, or indie games, Montabi is absolutely worth your time. It has huge potential to become much more popular, and I hope more people discover this hidden gem. Definitely worth buying. There is so much content to unlock and I have yet to have a boring run. The creature design is very inspired as well (there really aren't any I don't like). Gameplay is very unique and fun, every fight feels like a puzzle. One of the best games I have played in a long time.

This game may look like it is a pokemon game, because of its artsyle and theme, but on its heart it is a roguelike deckbuilder game. So if you are looking forward for a roguelike deckbuilding game with a bright, fresh artsyle with monster taming in it, this might be for you. The balancing still need to work, sometimes it is quite overwhelming at first, cause you have to manage each creatures card and also add some equipment to it. Other than that, overall it is a fun game if you like positioning strategy and roguelike element.
This game is bonkers! A mix max of everything.. From collectibles, grinding, cards, strategic game and much more. These complexities are what make this game worth to play. Something that is added to this game is there is no more game over but Try again. Well, i can say that this is certainly a good game that i will spend my time for a while. Thanks dev!
