Nagyon addiktív, a zsáner elemeit jól ötvözi, van benne potenciál. Bátran játszon vele aki kedveli a műfajt, és persze külön öröm anyanyelven játszani. Remélem siker koronázza a fejlesztők munkáját. Bátran ajánlom.
This is a really well crafted Slay the Spire like game with some original ideas added. I love it.
I recommend this game! It has active development and continues to get better and better. It's a bit like slay the spire (but not a clone at all mind you), but instead of classes your card pools are determined by what set up of weapon, offhand, armor, trinket, and ring you wear before a run and you can switch your get-up before each run, so you can try different strategies and builds or just mix it up to keep each run feeling different. And positioning in fights is important as there are armor and block mechanics as you fend off hordes of monsters.

it's not a bad game, it's like knock on the coffin lid but it's missing a lot of quality of life features and animations/sound effects. I completed the tutorial a full run(no boss) in about 40 minutes on normal difficulty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q299ltKB5_0 The game is fully playable but it has too many problems to be worth investing this much time into it. There is not a lot of equipment or tactical options so the runs will feel very similar. Besides all the problems of early access, one thing i really dislike is the fact that global progression is tied to character progression wich is tied to difficulty. In other words, the difficulty of the game is dependand on character and so are unlocks. So if you unlock everything on normal on a character and start a new character on hard difficulty, you have to start from 0, This is a massive problem since it makes the player grind massivly every character and it's very repetitive. The developers should allow progression to be global and allow a single character to play on all 3 difficulties, not limit them to a single one. I am going to give it a negative review based on the fact that the game will be released in 2026 and a lot of strange decissions to make the game less fun. Early access is a method of finishing a game, not to start development on it
Really recommended!
TL;DR: The game is a hidden gem. The devs are still involved, release regular updates, and are very responsive. The game has received multiple updates and new content since the negative review in October 13. This is a passion project from this developer and you can see their efforts throughout this game. I really recommend it to deckbuilder fans! ------ I've read the one recent negative review on October 13. This review is now outdated. Honestly, it was this review which made me hesitant to try the game, but I am very glad I took the chance. The game has received many updates since this review. The devs have frequent, biweekly updates and are very quick and responsive to feedback. I provided a report about a bug and they found it, fixed it, and updated it in this most recent patch. Pros: - The game is visually beautiful, with art much like Darkest Dungeon. The card art is also equally as beautiful. - No crashes, frame drops, or visual stuttering. Runs like a dream. - As I dig deeper into the game and unlock more cards with more runs, I am finding there are many synergies with cards and it is great to find different builds. - Tooltips for each card and status effect - Unique take on engaging enemies in front and behind, which plays into defensive and offensive strategies. - Good sound design - card actions feels like they have substance. - One negative review stated the speed of the game was too slow. The devs have since increased the speed and it runs buttery smooth and fast on my setup. - Roguelite deckbuilder - there is metaprogression which provides alternatives for new weapons and armour which provide additional cards. One negative review mentioned that the trinkets you purchase may have a cooldown - this is not true. Trinkets only need to be charged once they are used and are charged once you complete a run. This is why his trinket stopped working. Cons: - I did have to figure out some aspects of what cards would do simply based on gameplay. Some improvements to the tutorial may need to be considered. - The "crossroads" aspect instead of a map is unique as far as I know, but this area has the same background and background music on each run. Some adjustments to this area would be helpful to create more immersion and a sense of progression throughout individual runs. - The "Victory" music is strangely out of sync with the theme of the rest of the game. I personally think it is immersion breaking. Give this hidden gem a try!
If you like deck building games i think you'll love Monastery. Even in early access state there are a lot of different builds as you level up and get new cards. And many more to come. They just added medium armor with a lot of new cards and it gave some new mechanics to the game so i'm really looking forward for the new items. The music is great it creates a cool atmosphere for the unique drawings. You have to really think in harder levels how you play your cards, and it was a big YES for me!
