It started in your foot. Now it’s in your head. All that remains is the command: GO UP. Meet strange neighbors. Make bad trades. Every ascent teaches you what you should have done differently.

About
The only thought left is: GO UP.
The building has thirty floors. Your body has problems - hunger, thirst, exhaustion. The infection doesn’t care. It only wants altitude.
Your body is in shambles... but the foot keeps climbing.
The building is not haunted. The people in it are not monsters - and they want things. Junk. Food. Favors. Someone to do something mildly humiliating to their neighbor.
A few of them know things they shouldn't. And maybe what they know has something in common.
You're the only one collecting the pieces.
The building is the same every time you climb it. The neighbors are the same. The trades are the same. The vending machine on the ground floor has the same stock.
What changes is what you know.
Every run, you learn something. A shortcut. A better trade. An item you thought was useless until it saved your life. Slowly, the building starts to make sense.
You’ll know what to do next time.
But your foot isn’t waiting.
MOLDRISE features a full-length original soundtrack, composed by Mike Klubnika, creator of Buckshot Roulette, s.p.l.i.t., and Machine Party.
First-person survival horror. Retro aesthetics. A thirty-floor apartment building with no empty floors and no happy endings.

Moldrise feels like a fever dream you accidentally get good at. You wake up with a mold infection that politely asks you to GO UP, and somehow that becomes the most reasonable thing happening. Every climb is a lesson in poor decision-making: you trust the wrong people, trade away something you'll desperately need five minutes later, and convince yourself this run will be different. The world is weird without trying too hard. The characters are unsettling, funny, and just untrustworthy enough to make every interaction memorable. Dying rarely feels like punishment—instead, it feels like the game quietly saying, "You know better now." If you enjoy games that don't explain everything, reward curiosity, and turn failure into part of the story, Moldrise is absolutely worth your time. GO UP.
similar to outer wilds (and demon dust) its a game about progress being the information you gather to the point where the end game is a solved problem. scope is focused and has very welcomed restraint. excellent execution. dealing with the "timer" is a little more interesting than just a time limit. go up.

cool concept
Super cool game about getting to the top of your apartment building after an infection in your foot urges you to do so. Interacting with the neighbors in each floor and figuring out what they needed was a fun gameplay loop. Cool execution, fun trip sequences and dope music from Mike Klubnika!
disgusting but perfect atmosphere
10/10, would get deadly fungal foot infection again
It's a really good, really short game that's pretty spooky but not in like a jumpscare sort of way. I would say the main draw to the game is the concept of a game where knowledge is super important and that real progress is made by you, the player, learning more about the world. I don't want to give any examples because the game is so short, but for the most part you wind up learning that a thing that took you ten or fifteen minutes could be completely skipped if you know what you need to actually be doing. Kind of like Orten Was the Case, if that means anything to anyone. Pretty easy to recommend if you enjoy shorter games. I do think some people would be concerned about the lack of value for the cost so maybe wait for a sale if that's a concern of yours, but I do still think it's worth playing if you enjoy knowledge based games.
Good game.
不赖!
Moldrise does a great job of building tension and a chilling atmosphere without resorting to jumpscares. It also didn't overstay its welcome. Once I had experienced what it had to offer, I was able to complete a run without much trouble and see the "good ending." I played through it in about 4 hours. Great props to the design of this game, It's visually interesting, the characters are all recognizable dopplegangers of apartment living, and the game's mechanics keep tension high even while you're just pacing the hallways.
