MMM: Murder Most Misfortunate

Really nice and charming short game. Although the art is not so great, i love the voice overs! And the main character is such a B in a fun way.

MMM: Murder Most Misfortunate te pone en la piel de Miss Fortune, una viuda que ya lleva nueve maridos criando malvas sin comerlo ni beberlo, colega, y esta vez le toca hacer de detective antes de que la culpen a ella. Recorres la mansión, interrogas a los invitados y tienes el reloj corriendo en contra, porque la policía llega tarde pero llega, y si no cuadras bien las pistas, mejor le vas montando un cargo de mentira a otro invitado para salir del paso. Los personajes están doblados de arriba a abajo, con más de 1700 líneas de voz, aunque el diseño de los muñecos es más raro que un perro verde. Por cinco euros y con vibra de novela negra con humor negro, si te gustan los misterios con guasa, aquí tienes tu asesinato.

Суть: сыграть за мисс Форчун (девятикратную вдову), раскрыть убийство на вечеринке в уединённом особняке и доказать свою невиновность — пока не прибыла полиция. Ключевые особенности: ограниченное время на расследование (≈ 1 час 15 минут) — можно отключить; поиск улик: осмотр комнат, взаимодействие с объектами; допросы гостей особняка; несколько концовок (можно найти истинного убийцу или подставить другого); полностью озвученные диалоги (> 1 700 реплик); атмосферные фоны с эффектами (дождь, туман, смена освещения); достижения Steam (6 штук) и коллекционные карточки; языки: английский, испанский, итальянский; платформы: PC, Mac, Linux (Steam). Минусы: короткая (1,5–3 часа прохождения); смешанный стиль графики (3D‑фоны + 2D‑персонажи); сложно заметить некоторые предметы при поиске; ограниченный реиграбельный потенциал после открытия всех концовок. Итог: компактный детектив для любителей Агаты Кристи и Ace Attorney. Подойдёт для разового прохождения

A fun murder mystery. The story is fun and the strength of the mystery is high. Voice acted and I actually thought the audio quality was high. Text is localized, but the spanish translation is soft locked pretty far along. Music is pleasant. A little replay value. All the achievements are very rare. The graphics are quite good. To say that the protagonist is over the top is an understatement. I think this is intentional, but who knows. It's short, but also I don't think that's a bad thing. I almost never finish long games.

Por mi salud mental y visual me ha sido imposible terminar el juego ¿motivo? La «traducción». Para empezar decir que de «Español de España» nada, esto es totalmente «Español de Hispanoamérica», y no uno bueno precisamente. Ni en los fansub de anime y scans de manga más cutres me he encontrado algo tan atroz: - Falta de tildes. - Falta de los signos de apertura de exclamación e interrogación. - Errores en el género. - Letras sobrantes y faltantes. - Palabras desordenadas. - Palabras que no se han traducido del inglés, se han españolizado : «inventorio» de «inventory» y «angrioso» de «angry» como ejemplos más lamentablemente memorables. A los 43 minutos de juego tuve que desistir de continuar porque la cosa iba a peor aún, creo que hasta con el traductor de Google se hubiese conseguido algo mejor. Tratándose este juego de una novela visual en la que el texto es el elemento principal una traducción así lo hace injugable y me es imposible recomendarlo. Que hablando de novelas visuales, añado por último que el motor de esta no es Ren'Py, es Unity, no hay opción para saltar el texto leído.

Fun game! Multiple endings like it says, and it's not like in every ending every suspect confesses. No, there's one true ending where the person confesses, but in every other ending the person is arrested but we're not sure if it's right person because they don't confess directly which leaves you with an uneasy feeling :) Good game, and you can play with friends, family, siblings, niblings -- nothing inappropriate save for 1 line at the start, AND I APPRECIATE THAT SO MUCH!!! THANK YOU FOR NOT HAVING ADULT CONTENT! It's entirely voice acted which is amazing. And each character has their own personality which was super cool. Lots of fun dialogue and one-liners. Miss Fortune and the Contessa were my favs! I had theorized the right person on my first try, but I didn't have enough clues. I had thought I had gotten all the clues, but no, I still had two left. One of them I found out about during an accusation, which I don't know if it was a glitch or if it was guesswork done right. But I did go back and get that clue :) There are even a few red herring clues -- or maybe I didn't figure out how to use them :P A very good game, clever, fun -- a lot of thought went into this in making this a perfect murder mystery. AND a very skillful and thought-out crime!!!! :D
