the parkour is a 10 out of 10
companies will really make one of the best franchises ever then just leave it in hell for all eternity
I originally played this game as a teenager, and remember thinking it was good. Having replayed it now as an adult, more than 10 years later, I actually think the opposite, because: - The mechanics feel clunky. It's not uncommon that your character suddenly clips through an object/wall while performing a stunt, and your character will sometimes jump to an elevated position if you have more speed than what was intended for a particular jump. This may lead to death or being stuck somewhere behind an object. - I often felt as though the developers wanted you to do exactly one particular thing, and if you try to do it slightly differently, it won't work. Want to perform a wallrun for a particular jump? Well, there's a chance it won't work, because the devs didn't want you to perform a wallrun on that particular wall. Want to kick off a smaller object to perform a bigger jump and reach an edge? Well, you have to do it on the right side of the room, not on the left side of the room - because on the right side, there's a tiny box extra. Somehow, that makes a big difference. Follow the script, and everything will go well. If you do something else, the game will likely make you feel stupid. - The combat/chase levels are kind of annoying, especially when you're forced into combat to get to the other side of a roof/room. I often found that trying to avoid combat will get you shot, and I feel like I would have enjoyed the game more if there were more options for the player to avoid combat. - The story and characters feel all over the place. Most of the characters don't seem to have any integrity at all. The more I progressed through the game, the more I felt that way. - Ending spoiler:
I was kind of curious about the ending, but it turned out to be just a spectacle with an explosion. I don't feel like the story got a proper ending - it just made the entire game feel even sillier to me.
All in all, this is a game based on a rather creative and unique idea, but with a poor implementation. If you want to get it, I would recommend waiting for a discount, rather than buying it for the full 20 euros/dollars.
still as good as i remembered
Zoomies!
Great game, would highly recommend. Very impressive graphically to this day. Good storyline and about the perfect length to finish in a weekend or two. Very fun gameplay and awesome map designs. Should note it can be challenging at times due to a bit wonky mechanics and the story is very linear which some people may love or hate.
just love it, great soundtrack and location vibe :)
Wow. This was one of those games that had me sitting back in my chair as the credits rolled, taking in the music with a smile on my face. What a stellar game. I loved the parkour and the way that I could approach some situations like a puzzle with multiple solutions. Sometimes I would rage quit, but when I would circle back and FINALLY get through an area or a fight that was frustrating me, the victory and excitement I felt was EUPHORIC. My only complaint was that my game was failing to save about half the time, but if I just continued playing after getting the error message, the issue typically resolved itself at the next save point. Still, it was annoying when my game failed to save and I didn't notice, resulting in me having to re-do an area I had already passed through. Great game!
I just cant play this game... Gameplay was fun and the story was good, i was really interest in it. TILL IT CRASHED 3 TIMES IN ROW BECAUSE I ALT TAB, AND GUESS WHAT I COULDN'T OPEN THE TASK BAR TO CLOSE IT! Oh and i love when runner feels like she a clumsy silly doe which can't hold a pipe just because. Red marks should be everywhere permanently because it shows sometimes and sometimes not, i was lost where to go.
